My 22 year old daughter, Luana, gave birth to a healthy 8 pound baby girl this morning at around 0950.
Her name is Anastasia.
I heard her loud and clear this afternoon on the phone, hungry and with a load in her caboose.
Poor kid.
She was born with the same birthday as her father.
I was hoping for an April 1 birthday, as it would be SO much funner.
It was only 2 days, but no...SHOJim, dptrucker, scottied67 and 5 others Thank this. -

Lost the Missouri load in Phoenix terminal when the fuel islands trailer inspector red tagged trailer for some campaign bs.. so had dispatch tcall it saying not waiting for shop to fix it.
Got a load that picked up there and talked it at otay mesa terminal.
Did a ten st the pilot and deadheaded to San Bernardino to get this load that goes to Portland or weds. Morning at 7.
Will get to t/A tomorrow and get another unplanned 34 reset
Not gonna waste my time trying to get it Tcalled. Had never worked for me yet. They will use the same b.s. of no loads. -

Longview wa.
Was able to tcall that tire load. Saw on the b.o.l. the driver was required to unload. Glad I got rid of it.
Have me this load as a trade. Load was in the yard and had a 0400 appt tomorrow. -
If it does say it is a driver unload, I refuse the load.
No matter what the BOL says, I will not unload if my load assignment says no in the driver unload field.
If I accepted the load without that condition then I will not accept a change like that just because of what is on the BOL, since it was not up front in the first place. It was not a part of my contract when I accepted the load.
I have had a few tire loads that the BOL said it was a driver unload, but it never has been.Last edited: Apr 1, 2019
dptrucker Thanks this. -
In the notes it said driver might have to unload if asked by customer.
B.o.l. Said driver unload is required. Didn't read that till last nite.
But was planning on tcalling it when I accepted it. But never had any luck till todayMoosetek13 Thanks this. -
I've had a couple driver unloads in 8 years.
The first was heavy pallets that I had to move to the back of the trailer, the other was fiberglass tubs that I had to move to the back of the trailer.
The tubs were light so I didn't mind too much.
But tires? No way will I be climbing up to the top to toss down tires, row after row.
And I won't be pushing heavy pallets again. That is too hard at my age.dptrucker Thanks this. -
I’ve done a few of those tire loads. What you do is put one tire on the floor in front of you and then you take the second tire and bounce it down at an angle onto the the tire on the floor. This causes it to roll all the way down the length of the trailer and off the back. It’s quite a workout but I enjoy stuff like that once every few years.
