Good Night From II

Las Vegas at the TA. I think I got the last space here, and I reserved it yesterday.
As I pulled around to it there was security there blocking the space to tell me that these were reserved. I saw him in his cart as I came in, and he sure noticed me. I said it was reserved for me. He checked my phone to make sure I had the reservation. I like that guy. Right on top of things so I didn't have to go inside and wait for someone to be moved out before I could park. That has happened before in Denver.

I was sent a pplan earlier that was an empty trailer move to the JV terminal. No way, and I ignored it.
I am so sick of being stuck in the west month after month.

 

My truck is at 200,000 miles so I'm guessing it's a more comprehensive service. Not sure. Going to ask the shop when they open.

 

Had my truck done. About 45 minutes shop said.
They had recalls to do also so not for sure

 

Yeah, shop said I'm actually due for a B service and it's usually just rolled in with that. Any idea how far past the mileage you can go before they put you on maintenance hold? I seem to remember going like 500 over and I still wasn't...

 

No.. I just kept getting messages saying so many miles left to do one or i be put on safety /shop hold

 

At home near Phoenix.

I actually had a good experience with the Phoenix shop! I dropped my truck off yesterday to have the QualComm replaced. I got a call in less than 24 hours that it was finished. A huge difference from the last time I delt with this shop also concerning my QualComm.

Had to run paper logs for 4 days getting home. My QC died Saturday morning and never came back.

At home til Saturday when I depart for Ohio with a load sitting in the yard. I already have the paperwork for it AND my loaded call has been sent.

 

My second pplan this morning at JV was a t-call and only about 30 miles with 2 stops.
I went in to get the BOL's and there was nothing for the final stop. She said to call my DM about it. When I got back to my truck the load assignment had been resent, his time with no extra stop, so I went back in. She said that stop had delivered already and I was only going to the final. I was a bit miffed because 10 minutes ago she told me that I had both stops, as did the pplan and original load assignment, and now my first stop has already been delivered? Why didn't you tell me this the first time, when you were looking at the exact SAME screen? And I now have no paperwork except for the stops that have already been delivered. She said call your DM. I first went in search of the trailer, which I could not find after 2 times around the entire place. It was trailer 1414**, and I only saw 1 14' trailer there. Also 1414** but not mine.
So I call my DM. He pings the trailer and it is in Idaho! And there was a note from CSR that the final paperwork was at the final.
He voided that load and gave me a Walmart load going to Hermiston, OR, stepping on some toes in the process.

The lady at the window refused to give me an mt, and I was dispatched on a trailer solution 23 miles away.
I get there and, no trailer. There were no Swift trailers except for intermodal.
So I send the planner a message asking for another solution. After 10 minutes he messages to ask if I asked about the trailer with anyone, I say the trailer is not here. Not that big of a place, and there are no Swift trailers for me here. Another 20 minutes and I get a message to call my DM to empty it out because I am attached to the trailer.
My DM pinged the trailer they sent me to get. It was in Laredo, TX.
I got a 30 minute break out of it.

I finally get another trailer solution. When I get to the address, there was no such address. I call from the center turn lane of the road, to find out what they sent me was the wrong number on that street. I get the right address and go in to PepsiCo. The trailer I was sent to get was still being unloaded and wasn't available. Luckily they had an mt that was available.

Then back to the Walmart DC that is right next door to the JV terminal to finally pick up my load.
At least that went smoothly, but what a morning.

I stopped at Primm, NV at the J.

 

Good ol jurupa valley. Remember I was sent to pick up a trailer that had claims on it. Was literally one pack of Kool Aid jammers haha. After all that trouble my dm gave them hell and I got an Amazon out of Moreno Valley to Sumner. Hoping I won't be stuck out west on reefer.

 

I know. Those people don't know what's coming or going because their head is so far up a smelly part.
I hate SoCal with a passion.
