It may be a holiday, but many places are still open.
My next load picks up on Monday. Hopefully it wasn't a typo.dptrucker Thanks this. -
Sumner terminal wa.
Not able to tcall.
Terminal is a mess as far as parking is concerned.
Had to make my own spot. Now hope no-one hits me.
Will now get another 34 reset in
Just did one when I left lathrop terminal.
Oh well -
I had a funny feeling today so I called the consignee to check on receiving hours today. They close at 1430, and I couldn't get there until nearly 1800. They are closed tomorrow.
So I am sitting it out at a Pilot about 70 miles away and will deliver when they open on Tuesday at 0630.
I will get a 34 on my first load from getting back from home time. Joy.
I sent a mac 22 for my next load saying that I would pick it up at 0830 on Tuesday, when the window was any time on Monday.
If it is pre-loaded I should have just enough time to get it to the final by 1200 Wednesday. 800 miles.
The load assignment says it is a live load, but my DM was thinking it was pre-loaded - possibly because of the pick up window until midnight. One can only hope.
The load after that one also says live load, but with a pick up window of 1830-2359 I wonder. It sounds like a pre-loaded also.
If I have to leave too early Wednesday morning my 14 will run out before I can pick it up and will have to pick it up the next morning.
This one is also a driver unload with tailgating. At least it is a light load at less than 3k.
My DM was so quick in doing things when he set me up for these loads and he failed to give me enough information about them. He just wanted to get me some miles, which is a good thing.
And this delay might also be a good thing.
When considering (after the fact) all the miles in that time span I wasn't sure if my 70 could handle it all. With a 34 now, it won't be a problem.
I'm just hoping that my next load is pre-loaded. Both, actually. -
Many open spaces or standing room only, depending on the day.
I dread when I have to park a trailer at any of them because of that.dptrucker Thanks this. -

And that isn't the only terminal I have seen Knight at.
So why haven't we received a list of all the Knight terminals we can park at?
One way street?dptrucker Thanks this. -
I havent -
Knight has a presence in just about every terminal I've been to, but aside from the Knight terminal in Sparks, NV (next door to Swift) I don't really know where any of them are.
But it seems the Knight drivers know where all of ours are, and I doubt they would be using them so much if they were not given permission and locations.
Our terminals have always been crowded enough without them adding to the mix. -
Knight has some terminals in good locations (Lebanon, TN near Nashville and Charlotte, NC come to mind) but they're very small and would be overrun with Swift trucks if they allowed us to park there.
Not saying some Swift terminals aren't crowded, but a lot of Knight terminals are smaller than Willows.Last edited: May 28, 2019
