Good night from...

I was at El Paso last night ... This for blsqueak ... got the wind behind me today ... 15K in the box, all day against the governer ... 7.6mpg ... Tonapah goint to try to make Bakersfield before my hours run out tomorrow

 

Beaverdam, OH.... The tornado outbreak last night threw a wrench in my plans (along with a logbook running lower on hours than I thought) I got here just in time to still get a 34 hr restart before having to deliver in Waterloo, IN on Monday morning. Had the pleasure of running with a pumpkin driver most of the way through KY after getting stuck in major rubbernecking over tornado damage. 45 minutes to go 5 miles.

 

Finally got to the Denver terminal.....that place sucks..such a cluster#@! Ended up on the street deliver tomarrow at 11 than try and have this old truck checked out...check engine light keeps coming on and no power on hills...took me 9 hours to go 460 miles on the 70 to Denver.....5 th gear at 20 mph

 

Still in Ottawa. Tried to send me a pplan last night, dh 250 miles to Greenbay in this weather. Grab a load for 450 miles. Just tried to send me another this morning, dh 56 to take to the NW corner of Ohio for Monday morning, then tell me dh home 250 miles. Nope. Told them that I will wait. There game would have been unauthorized DH

 

Still in Memphis waiting on a load. 3hrs and im done w/ a 34.. not happy, but expected on the weekend in a terminal.
Did all my laundry and showered now im idle, as there is nothing left for me to do.

 

Finally got a pplan that I can deal with, although not one of my favorite places to load, Purina in Davenport. Load early this evening. The pplan said pu at 1800 and deliver at 0700, then ld assignment said pu at 1600 and del b4 1500. That was a first for me. Usually the other way around with Plus 1. Give you a late time then change to early time.

 

Sill in PHX... Put truck in the shop for a B service, they said they could get to it yesterday afternoon... Great! I have to sit till Monday to deliver this load any how... Truck still hasn't moved over 24 hours later... If I take 68 hours h off, does that mean I get 140 hours to work next week?

 

The drivers lounge here in PHX just got evacuated for a gas leak...

 

HAHAHA. I have been lucky to see 7mpg with a mt trailer with the winds that I have been in.

 

Now Davenport, IA. Moved all the way from Ottawa, IL to here. Dropped my trailer at Purina, and found out that the CO driver that came in this morning would not drop his mt, so they did not have another one to load my load. He was not giving it up until his load was ready, so my load, it got pushed back. Pushed back all the way until 10 in the morning. I better be getting detention time for this. So much for my home time early tomorrow afternoon. Now lucky to see home at 2200, all thanks to a CO driver, and a Mentor no less, with a student.
