That's where I was today! Got a pplan for a Cal Cartage (Target) load from Suffolk, VA this morning at 2am, picked it up as soon as my 34 was done and halfway to Lugoff got another pplan to pick up at Home Depot RDC in W. Columbia, SC to go back to a Home Depot store in Norfolk, VA. I'm in Dunn, NC at one of the Sadler family Pilots and expect to hit my delivery with an hour to spare in the morning.

When you get to Usk you'll be in Injun territory about 20 miles from the teepee. That transfer point at the paper mill is where I saw that moose stroll in front on the truck that night. I would hate to hit one of those at speed!

When I lived in Maine, the old timers would tell you about the Moose Rule:

Brake for Moose, or the Moose will break you.

Hitting a Moose at speed would do a ton of damage to a semi, and generally kill everyone in the front seat of a car. It's amazing, and sometimes they notice they've been hit and will give you a dirty look as they saunter away. Just thought I throw that into the pool and see where the ripples lead.

 

Moose steaks... Almost as good as Elk but. Better than deer.

 

Yea, but there was some guy here named 'corn' I think. Took me over to a cajun bbq place for lunch, good food there. I then bobtailed over to the loves today and snagged a shower, snacks and caught up on my Call of Duty MW game time.
felt good to relax after 3 weeks running hard. Yup I did a 34 here, but we as truck drivers have to make the best of any situation, right lol

Was sent a PP earlier to p/u a 44500lb load and drive it 300mi.. uhh this planner is clueless, so I let them go stale on the qc and didn't open them untill I saw the removal. 34 reset means 34 hours off duty, not sit in my 90* truck texting (via qc) w/ ignorant planners/csr about the meaning of resets and why as an o/o a 44500lb load going 300mi isn't worth killing a 34 reset 17hrs into it. Well that and it was going to Memphis, I absolutely refuse to go there, help them or even drive near them..

34 reset up @ 1100 tomorrow, so ill start pounding mac30 round 1000 and hammer down..

 

Last time i was in Houston I was DH from Laredo after sitting for a unneeded 34. They had me move tells for 2 and half days... Burnt up a bunch of hrs for little pay... Finally had enough and told planned not accepting another trl move till he backed me up with something... 1900 mile pplan 4 mins later... Oh TX... Fun state to drive through but don't get stuck there.

 

Yup, sent lil 300mi runs over 40k lbs.. trying to get back to phoenix, but dm said nothing going west, or atleast to phx. So here I sit... waiting...

 

Snagged a heavy load going to Carinth, MS.
I got to shipper @ 1200 she looks at me, point to the clock and says "im on lunch, come back @ 1300" I mac 22 load to arrive at 1330. I sent my mac1 but it didn't go thru, got msg from csr while waiting to check in.. are you going to get to shipper? I reply, im here. Then notice mac1 didn't go thru, crap.. I check in she clocks me in @ 1305. Ask dm if svc fail and got hve her write arrived time on bol.. shipper lady wont change check in time...

Mac22 save me? or...?

If not my 1st svc fail in a year of driving.. /bummer

 

Should have never sent the MAC 22 ... you arrived at the 1200 ... what was your appt time? If 1200, then the delay is on the shipper, regardless any delay after 1200 is on the shipper. The only issue is the start time for your detention elgilbilty - scheduled appt time.

As far as service falilure, you sent the Mac 1, they can corrolate with the GPS your location. A SF also reflects on your DM/FM, it is in thier interest to help you fight it.

 

Zuki,nice to see you again!!!! Do you have phx o/op pod ? I sat in laredo for 2 days waiting to go west......had to go on a plane,so no way to take something else.....this was 4 weeks ago,just wondering if it is the pod or planners there that do that......
