I guess that according to the weather, I can already say that still here. Calming down in this area, but west in Gulfport and further, still a mess with winds gusting up to 70-80. Do not need to be driving in those winds, especially comming out of the southeast and LA being mostly all wide open.
have to admit, within 10 minutes of sending in MAC 22, received a message from our safety director in Lewiston, wanting to make sure that everything is okay and that I am safe and at least have a building to go into.
Good night from...

Ahhh ok...I been watching it...sounds like it will be worse then they thought and storm is moving slowly....so u be there awhile....keep us aprised of your goings on ok? take care.... -
Thanks, I have a new pta for tomorrow night, but that depends on the winds in the morning. Seems like for all intense purposes, this storm has pretty much stalled here. If I was heavy, then I would not worry that much, but winds gusting to 50-70, it is not worth it. Call me a wimp, but my safety, not this fr8, comes first. Roll the truck, it is mine, roll the trailer, it belongs to Swift, so what would they say. Let me see, should have stayed parked.
-
Well, if you roll the trailer the truck will go over with it.
Glad to hear you are still OK. -
Thanks. Was just checking out the weather for cities all accross I-10 in LA today, and glad that did not attempt. Some serious gusting winds, and they would have been crosswinds. Looks like they are starting to die down some. Still have to see what happens in the morning. It is not the rain that I worry about, but the wind and bridges. In my past, I have already been blown into a nice deep ditch during winter when got hit with a crosswind, after comming out from behind some trees. Spun me 180 degrees and down an embankment.

salt lake city terminal... wow i really freakin hate this place
-
I'm headed to Salt Lake City tomorrow.
I stayed 80 miles east just so I wouldn't have to put up with SLC truck stops or the terminal.
Lucky me.
I had a pick up this morning at the FMC near Little America, WY.
I spend all the time going through security and checking in with receiving just to find out that my load isn't sceduled until next week!
And they don't have enough product to load me today.
So I call my DM, the load is voided, and I go back 40 miles to repower a load to SLC.
Lost a 900 mile load for a 180 miler, that was rescheduled to deliver tomorrow. -
U
Why? At least there is parking at that terminal. Unlike Denver, Sumner, Troutdale. Nalso the truck wash, Always nice to get the bugs off the winsheild. Not to mention the people there actually treat you like a human, also, free coffee. -
Fargo, North Dakota. @ Loves. Heading to Sumner Yard...0

SLC also has the only competent shop as well.
Albert Lea, MN after a 658 mile, 10:49 (driving) hour day and I'm thrashed. Deliver tomorrow in Montgomery, IL way too close to Chicago and according to Lucy, the O/O recruiter in Phoenix, I will have a pplan to Avenel, NJ to look at my, maybe, new lease truck. Still need to talk to several of you before that hapens and I'm hoping to send some PMs tomorrow afternoon.
