In a way I'm glad the 2012 Volvo 780 wasn't available back in May when I decided to lease a truck. I would have leased one and missed out on my Cascadia. Yes, I'm very happy wth my truck.

I'd assume you would be responsible for the truck payments untill the terms of the lease are due. Bu honestly don't know.

As far as I know, yes, you can walk away, but you are responsible for the payments until they either put it in the fleet or somebody else leases it.

Finally made it to Houston. Waiting the one extra day made alot of difference. Was 30 miles west of 55 when we received that message about the dam. Had some win, and a little problem with one of the bridges over a swamp for a little while. Sent a pplan and declined. PU Pasadena, TX and t-call in Laredo. No way. Heard that they are short loads down there again, and the pplan showed a t-call and avail pta for 9/4

No, your best bet is make sure that you really feel that you will be successfull, have a good DM and terminal, and willing to make it work. I do not run more than a avg 2800 miles per week, and do just fine. It is all the miles that I want. I also pretty much pick where I like to run and stay in that area as much as possible.
