Winfield in the Great State of Texas! About a 2 hour limp n loaf in to Dallas to deliver at 11am and then the truck goes into the Lancaster shop. I'm having the same ac luck with this truck as my company truck. High side hose blew off west of Nashville and I figured screw the mpg, need to get there, unload and get to the shop so hammer down.

I also found out this truck has the same governor problem as the company truck. Dang. Both are set 3mph too high. I will be sure to have the shop check that out tomorrow as well. Yeah, no. I set the cruise on the speed limit plus 3 or 68mph where it was posted higher and only slowed down in the construction zones. From Raphine, Va down I-81 to I-40 through TN, AR and into TX, with today's gas pedal abuse, I'm getting 7.6mpg with #42,676 of Solo cups on the roll. The only problem is I can't get that stupid song out of my head!

Sayre, OK. They ended up sending me one of the offers in a pplan that I really did not want. Sent it back with a ETA of noon on Wednesday, hoping that it would not work, and it did. They are FCFS, 7-2. Luckily I padded about an extra 5 hours into the run.

Home at last! Delivered just after 1:00pm this afternoon in Flagstaff then pointed myself southbound with the cruise set at the governor. Only got 9.7 MPG bobtail! Won't do THAT again! Truck is headed for Freightliner in the morning then we'll see what happens after that.

I set my PTA for Thursday afternoon instead of Friday morning hoping to snag a "pick up in the afternoon-deliver the next afternoon" Costco load like I got the last time I was home.

My delivery got moved from 11am to 830pm after I was underway so I sat at the TA all day. Finally got to the Lancaster terminal as the shop was closing so I expect to be here til Wednesday. Ugh.

Inkeeper, you going to be around tomorrow?

Alerton, IL. Sent a pplan, pu at 1800 tomorrow, live load, right when my 14 ran out. then del 260 miles for 1800 on Thursday. Live unload. Declined. Got farther than I planned tomorrow, so moved my pta up by 3 hours and see what happens. The pplan was pu in Chicago berg, with no place to sit for 5 hours.

Still at home. Spent part of the morning pressure washing the chassis of my truck as well as cleaning off some road tar that I picked up.
Truck is now at Freightliner to fix my balky clutch, alignment, and balancing of my steer tires.
