Still here in PHX. Student bailed today. Went back home. Got a job offer there, and with some blood pressure problems, thought that better if he just stay in the home for now. It is okay. After the pplans that I was getting sent all morning, 4 of them. All of them about 350 miles going to LAX, and two days to get there. Tried to tell me that the student needs to learn to walk before run. All good, but not crawl. Now the plan is, run solo to Salina for Friday then up to Lewiston where I will get another student. Nice thing about lewiston, all of the fr8 outta there, long. Plus by the time that I get there, will have over 2k miles so at least the truck payment is made, not like this crap here.

At the Love's in Dublin, GA where it's raining "like a tall cow pissing on a flat rock!" Drove for nearly 4 hours today in rain like this to get here.

I deliver 3 miles away tomorrow morning @ 8:00 am then it's up to Wrens, GA to pick up a load headed for Dallas.

Just ask Zukimart. He was here with me since yesterday. He was with Swift about 5 months ago, and with a Mentor when blood pressure went up. Took all of this time to get it back down and stay down. Right now it would be better if he just stayed home for some time.

You'll probably get an old junker 2013 Volvo with around 2,200 miles on it, like I did the last time I changed trucks at Phoenix.
Just a heads up. The new Volvo's have less storage space than previous models. The overhead cabinets have been replaced with a shelf.

Good luck with your new truck.

Yea I got out of Phx ! yes it took an act of congress and taking a 45K load out, but hey there is only so much of that place one can take, that and the bs was starting to pile up in the smoking section.. lol

Poor blsqueak, lost his student, crappy preplans and had to put up with me for 2 days, ha..
Yo, squeak.. the I17 and I40 heading east were bone dry brotha, I just ran it up here to albertkracky, nm and them thar roads were clear and perfect. It dropped down into the teens in a few spots, but all in all perfect conditions tonight.

Sitting on a dreaded 2-day Costco load that delivers tomorrow @ 1730 9mi away, but hey.. im out of Phx and heading back east where I want to be. I too, was being sent 2-day loads of 45K heading to Cali, ohh hell no.. My DL even told me today that she is VERY happy I didnt take any of them offers, as it would have been a chore to get me out of there. I guess Cali is a major DEAD-ZONE right now. So I think ill try and get as far east as I can get w/out going into NYC, NJ and if I can avoid it, PA as well.. But a bump in & out of PA isnt to bad..

Parked in the Albertkracky yard as the J was packed, well few spots but no sence in trying to jockey into a spot late night only to wake up to a ripped off mirror, fender or worse, when the yard is 2 miles away and a FREE shower, right?

Be safe and dont eat the bacon wrapped hotdogs, they will bite back around 3am..

Talked to 4 drivers in Phx yard this weekend, all said Debbie wasnt budging on handing out trucks for 2 reasons..
1] there are no trucks there to hand out.
2] what trucks she has they are waiting on tags and something else i forget.

Few drivers told me they were going to be sent over to Memphis. Ok, Im not a big fan of that terminal, and knowing my luck Id end up with a Big-Wheel with a baseball card stuck in the spokes.. and im sure Memphis, as great of a terminal it is, and how much they love to go out of their way to help drivers, would be more than happt to give out trucks to drivers that actually need them.. :)
ok enough of my Memphis bashing..

    good luck driver !!

o take it for what its worth, just passing on the info I was told.

Now you understand why I live 20 miles from the PHX terminal yet Lewiston is my home terminal.

As for delivering at Costco in ABQ, give them a call, they'll probably let you deliver early. Last time I delivered Costco in ABQ I was MT 15 minutes BEFORE my appointment.

And the J near the ABQ terminal SUCKS! I HATE that place, I dread going up there to get a CAT scale ticket, would NEVER consider parking there for the night.
