Good night from...

My last night at home. PU a 2 stopper at Sears in the morning, then head to NC. From there, going west. Not going to play the East Coast thing again. Tired of losing money running the hills and mnts.

 

thought i be smart and get to final in denver today instead of tomorrow morning. got here and they arew closed. lady said i can park by the bay doors till 7 am. have a preplan to p/u at 1030 after that. oh well, was a good plan anyways. drive safe all

 

We are sitting in Memphis waiting for our truck, again!! Evidently it is at an outside body shop for the night waiting for someone to come get it. Last week it was "in the lot", "in the body shop", "at kenworth", "in the bodyshop" and after being here for two whole days then it was "it will be ready Monday".......and it sounds like it still needs to be detailed!!

Well, Decatur terminal.

I've been here since Saturday with a 'check engine' light. It disables my turbo, so I can't really pull a load.
Now I'm in the area for 'Parts Waiting'. Hopefully I can get out of here tomorrow.

 

Searcy, AR finishing a 34 heading to Memphis to pick up t-call load tomarow. Hopefuly get a chance and see if they have any lease trucks available.

 

Still sitting in a motel in Columbus. Truck SHOULD be fixed today, that's assuming the part was shipped overnight. Forgot to scan my load that I delivered Friday morning in Indy, gonna walk to the terminal (about 3 miles...one-way) and do so today. Depending on how I feel I'll either walk back, bum a ride, or call a cab.

 

Turns out the Freigtliner DID NOT have the parts for my truck overnighted. Looks like the parts will not arrive til Thursday, so 'm stuck here til Friday morning.

And it was so cold and WINDY today that I gave up on my plan to walk to the terminal. Maybe tomorrow.

 

Troutman, NC. Was sent a pplan, SC to Winchester, VA. Asked about my chances of getting out of there heading west, told not good at all. Declined load, saying that I am losing money staying in the East/SE all of the time. Saw my fuel summary today, and it has been steadily going down this year.

Did a MAC 30, and found me a better one 780 miles ldd, 30 mt, SC up to Elk Grove Village for a drop on Thurs.
