At the Pilot in Butte, MT, on my way to NE & KS with a 3-stop load.
So far NOT impressed with the reefer division in Phoenix. First load was 5,000 lbs of plastic bottle cap (in a reefer), then they had me deadhead 400 miles (paid me loaded miles) to Grandview, WA to drop the reefer at the WalMart DC and grab a van. They put me back in the van division.....and promptly forgot about me. Thankfully Mac 30 saved me with my current load.
Good night from...

Sorry to hear that Steve. R u regretting changing now. I am looking seriously at the Costco reefer out of Morris right now. The same from what I hear like Wal-mart. Out and back. Right now they are only looking for L/O mentors with a student. Hearing 3,000/mi week and home every weekend. Might like that.

The T/A in Santa Rosa. Looks like a 34. Student has 5 hours for 2 days, and I am 10 in the hole. Doing MAC 30 few times last night, kept getting these 45K loads out of Amarillo going to AL for Tuesday. then this morning, MAC 30, and snagged me a chip load out of Lubbock going to SLC for Monday. Since we are now a team, can drop it Sunday night. Same miles as AL. Got the routing on the load, and it was sending me back up to CO, then up to WY and accross I-80. The last time that I looked, I remember a 8,000 foot mountain. Sent them the route that I was taking for their approval, and yep, approved, and at least 100 miles shorter than they were sending me.

why would you need to ask them for route approval? just wondering....

Because of the chips ... bags blow on their route, thier fault. Blow up on your route, your fault.fr8monkey Thanks this.

Still here in Santa Rosa. Here we are trying to get a 34, and I have 10 hrs avail after midnite, and student has none available until Monday morning. Get back to my truck and there is a msg, del changed for 00:01 until 07:45 on the 14th when scheduled originally for the 15th. Someone is smoking something. Look at the computer and see that neither of us have hours. We are also still 700 miles away, and with my 10 I pick up at mid, we are still too far. Screw them.

Everything I hear about Costco reefer out of Morris is GREAT! If they will take you jump on it.
My problem stems from a lost account/lack of freight. I expressed interest in the PHX reefer division because they were running to Canada and back, now they are not. When you hook to a reefer in PHX they expect you to keep it until you either return to PHX or they tell you SPECIFICALLY where to drop it.
FWIW, the Utility reefer I picked up in PHX was the best towing Swift trailer I've EVER hooked to.blsqueak Thanks this. -
ahhhh....that's right tater chis are altitude sensitive.....didn't know that was "chip load"..he was talking about.....
