thanks guys it helps relax me a little bit, I have been driving all day with it on my mind and stressed out horribly.
I definitely learned a lesson even though I wish it wasnt done this way, today I was looking in mirrors far more, very cautious in stops and everything, to me it seems more than a fender bender since they will have to replace his whole hood which im sure is not cheap, I know thats what insurance is for but it still bothers me a lot. On the statement about being stuck with Swift it might of came off the wrong way, I just meant I ###### up opportunities that could come about in a year or 2, I try to leave all doors and options open but with an accident on my record that just blows the opportunities out the door for awhile. So far no violations other than that and I hope I can keep it clean here on out

on a side note is it just me or is everyone getting pulled into tons of weigh stations? I was pulled into 4 today between Oregon to Nevada. I also got lucky when I adjusted my tandems, I made a good guess and scaled out 11400/33520/31700 total 76620

Anyway goodnight from some big dirt lot off the 93 in Nevada a little passed Carrie, NV
I see a couple other Swift trucks but doubt any are you guys

    dptrucker Thanks this.

OR, WA and ID ... do not recognize Prepass ... They have their own thing called Norpass, that we don't use ... so for those states, expect to be go into into any open weigh station.

Porky's South of the Border ... first time here. Tried Pedro's diner ... gawd it sucked. Drop tomorrow, then p/u and hump over to Houston for a Sunday am delivery. Then load Monday am and run up to WV to round out the week.

I see, was a pain in the ###

Sitting at the TA in Las Vegas doing a 34, I had to t-call my load at the swift drop yard down the way, I had 9 hours left on my 70 and saw I was in fact not picking up hours so I called up Matt and he said head to kingman where I was supposed to get fuel and they will contact me when something changes, about 110 miles from Vegas I got the message to drop at the yard
Walked across the street to the Silverton and gambled away more than I wish I would of, normally I win at least a little every time in Vegas, luck was not on my side this week for anything lol.

I need to get my truck checked out soon I think, #### regen comes on contasntly when I drive and my AC isnt blowing very cool half the time so I think it needs recharged, came out to my truck and decided I would idle to cool it off, it blew out hot air, ran it for a few minutes and still hot, shut down the truck and started it back up and now its blowing cooler but not cold. Guess this is going to be a warm night for me.

As soon as I dropped the load and called dispatch they removed me from it, I get to the TA and bam a load assignment for tomarrow, was a nice load too but replied saying I need a 34 and when I can accept it, it got removed and 2min later another popped up which was even nicer since it went right past my home, had to turn it down too and call them and ask wtf is going on, they claimed I had 16 hours left, I said no check my logs that I have 3 and not picking up hours until Saturday, finally they asked what pta I wanted so I gave it. Her reply "I guess our mac 10 is messed up" Yeah I send it every single day and never forget, I have a list I follow each and every time I wake up

You're in a Volvo right? When your A/C is blowing hot air, try turning it off for a minute or two by pushing the button that has the green light. Push it again , after the minute or two, maybe just maybe you will get cool air.

Flagstaff, AZ. Yesterday shut my student down early. Just to not know what is going on with him. Always wants to shift at 1400-1000. I ask him what was taught in school and what I have been telling him for the last 3 weeks and he says 1600-1300. Then within 10 minutes he is back to what he was doing previously. The other day we were comming through the toll both there in New Stanton getting ready to head east and somthing did not feel right, and got out of the sleeper and he was getting ready to grab 6th gear on a tight 20mph ramp. If any of you other mentors have seen some of these problems and you found a way out, let me know. I know that last night he talked to his recruitter and his dl today, and he stated that he knows that he is screwing up, and then keeps doing it.

I remember them teaching between 1000-1200 to downshift, thats where I normally do it anyway is in that range.

If he hasnt gotten it down by now he might never at this point, he went through school which teaches the basics of shifting, you have worked with him for a lot of hours....

I know when I road tested out a couple of those guys could not shift but they passed on anyway...

That said I've been green lighted (Pre-Pass) in all three states, just not recently.

My favorite hotel, Goodyear, AZ. The truck is at KW. Pinyon seals, both in and out, and either a sterring box or pump. Sitting the other night while truck was idling, wheel would not even turn, and at times when taking a corner slow, wants to lock up. Worse part, KW is closed on Sunday. Wish I knew that last night. Instead of stopping in Flagstaff, could have pushed into here. Ohh well, the lounge is always nice and the student is at the premier. No more vouchers. Now PHX puts the money on the card so that I can write a ComCheck. And no, I was not bringing him here.

    lol more expensive hotel?

Im still stuck in Vegas waiting on a t-call load, guy is dropping it at the Vegas drop yard then im taking it into fort worth, the guy is driving slow as hell though. I was told he was only 5 hours or so at 7 this morning when I called in to check on it, just called and he is still 3.5 hours away, no wonder he cant make his loads if he stops every dang hour.

I wish instead of losing my money gambling the other night I would of just got a semi decent hotel room, I sat in the driver lounge all day yesterday until dark, hell of a time sleeping since it was still hot, my AC is kicking in and out so needs looked at. Fuel is low midway through the red so avoiding the idling to keep cool. This has just been a miserable 34 restart for me. Its funny they require these restarts for drivers to get rested yet we cant rest well most of the time having to stop here and there.
