    That's because of idiots pulling onto the scales like the NASCAR finsh is at the end and slamming the platforms. Screws it up for everyone.

    lol good question indeed, maybe elevation difference and such? dont know just quessing :p

    Sitting at the Albuquerque terminal, they had me dead head my nice new trailer from Colorado here and clean it out for some other driver to use it for food, was the nicest trailer I had in weeks...
    I called and told them I dropped the trailer and the DM on the phone said he dispatched my next load so just hook get the paper work and go that its at the terminal. I go in and talk to dispatch to find the load actually wasnt here that I had to go get it still and since I was dispatched bobtailed he told me just leave bobtailed to go get it even though im supposed to swap an empty, if they say I can bobtail then I sure as hell will :p
    This load goes to Santa Fe Springs California, the problem is that it delivers on the 26th so im going to try and get it t-called in mira loma and get something else. I put in for home time last night for the 30th and they are sending me to California already, dont think so I want the 30th, wifes birthday is the 1st so I want to take her somewhere and take a couple days off so they take this truck away and give me a new one :)

    Couple new issues with the truck now, sometimes when im taking off and I shift it bogs down and wont speed up at all for a few seconds and then finally kicks in, one other issue is sometimes when I shift and then drive it revs rpms up some and grinds then kicks into gear and goes. Transmission or clutch problem maybe?
    I had the bogging problem in a car once and it was a fuel pump, felt the same.

    The revs and grind pop thing is that when you are going from low range to high range or vise versa and the bogging could be a lot of things from low fuel feed pressure to low high pressure system pressure. Or the turbo flappers (cant remove the techinal name) are sticking. Do you hear the turbo spooled up good when it bogs or does it bog and the. The turbo spools and the bog goes away?

    it happens once in awhile not all the time but seems 3rd and 4th gear is the worst, I did however have it do it going down the road in 8th while I was cruising along.
    The bogging problem just started today, i didnt have the issue before and I was deadheading so it wasnt to do with weight and stuff.

    the turbo doesnt take off during the bogging, its almost like there is no gas pedal being pressed at all, it just doesnt go

    The splitter in the trans might not be fully locking in. And popping out. I would get it look at because it could easy leave you coasting to a stop and won't be able to move it once stoped

    Yeah I just have lacked time to get to a terminal and stuff, I am about to take home time so will give up the truck and tell them all the issues with it and try to get a different truck

    after having dinner at the loves..decided it was way to hot to sit, so i ran down to barstow and now taking my 10 at the flying j in lenwwod ex 178. have 428 miles to go to final. its a lot cooler here, though it is 2330 now ;). btw...scales were closed when i went by..lucky me.have the one in tehachipi and another one i think(haven't lool that far yet) to sqeeze by hopefully

    The bogging could be due to clogged air or fuel filters.
    I've happen twice, once with each.

    going through Tehachapi? My home town, I will be there hopefully next weekend.
    Going east the scale is normally closed, sometimes the west one is too but its open more often than the east one.

    So I got stuck in 2 accidents today leaving Albuquerque, first was 2 cars that hit each other, 2nd was a few miles up a crst truck rolled over and they had the interstate closed at exit 88 or so and made people get off and go down a side road then back on, the traffic was backed up for miles though and took me 2 hours to get through it.
    My goal was to stop in Flagstaff since the temps are nice but couldnt find a place to park, saw there was a rest stop in my guide book and when I get there its closed so im like wtf!
    I ended up pulling off to the side of the road where there is a check brake area right before the grade down the mountain, I parked all the way to the fence away from the 3 lanes, does anyone know if I can get in trouble sitting here? I dont know what the rules are of these brake check stations but it seems big enough and im out of the way unless/until 10 other trucks join me tonight.

    Oh the best part of this trip, i picked up the trailer and whoever the dumb ### was that dropped it in the yard did not leave paperwork, called up the DM on duty and he told me go buy some BOL's from a truck stop and my DL will have to get me paperwork monday......
    Do I get reimbursed if I was told to buy those? Wasnt my fault the load didnt have the paperwork with it.
