area always matters, if you go to Oregon or Washington the freight is slower there, sometimes you get out easy and sometimes you dont, dont be like me and get picky in these areas, turning down a load I didnt like got me stuck there for 3 days waiting on another to come through when i could of at least took that crap load to get in an area that has a few more loads leaving. Sometimes its slow near So cal right now too, theres a few places, was told loredo is hard getting out too?

on being paid for downtime, if you sit for 24 hours after your pta is set then you get $50, you have to request the layover pay. Dont ever adjust your pta while sitting or you can just throw that out the window too.

good luck, is it a hard job to fix? savings for sure in parts plus you now have an impact wrench to keep for other moments.

Make sure the planners don't secretly take your pta. Call randomly and check or do a macro 34 and go all the way to the bottom and put yes on return current pta. The computer will sent a message. I had layover pay in PA and the planner changed my pta about 4 hours for the 24 period needless to say dispatch apologized.

I never knew about the layover pay!! Thanks Wolfyinc and MPH2!

My DM is cool tho, he pointed out that in waiting for the part delivery, I will get breakdown pay. I needed the 36hr restart anyway, doesn't suck to get paid for it too! (Canada = 36, US = 34)

So , got truck back this AM , cranked it up and no lights on dash ! Yeah !!!
Turn on air for an hour , blowing nice and cold , double Yeah !!!
Shut off truck and go inside for a while .
Come out to truck , fire it up and air ...steadily... gets... warmer...
Send " not so nice " comment concerning garage over qcom
and go into garage to " discuss " truck.

Am told by the guy there that the compressor was replaced , and there was also
TO MUCH oil in the line and it needed to be flushed out , but NO ONE did it.
Now watching the " repairs " was an International tech who commented to the guy
behind the desk that my truck would be back , so he wasn't the least bit surprised to see me.

My head just exploded ,what parts of my brain that didn't hit the ceiling
flew clear out to the fuel islands .
Fortunately for me , my body has been back and forth to the motel so many times
it can do it on its own.
