Walcott, IA. Took almost 16 hours to get that one pplan off me, and that was even after making a phone call, getting ECT and getting a 3rd degree why I did not want it. Delivered the load to Owens Corning which is always a drop and get told, we were not expecting you today, so no mt. Send in mt call and get that msg, it is live load, so I fired back, if you have a problem, here is the person to call and his phone number and he will gladly tell you that it is a drop here. Shortly after, get a pplan, pu at the terminal, take to Ashton, IL. Get to the terminal and my trlr, red tagged, pm, talked to the shop and it was already on the way in for pm. While waiting for the trailer, truck parked, and here a boom, get out and look, my one tire that I was getting ready to replace, blew out. Got a nice used one, and no idea on the price yet.
On my way, stopped to call the load board, and they had one to pick up in Summit tomorrow morning, FCFS 0700-1600, going to Springfield, MO. Deliver 0700-1200, FCFS. Get the pplan, and yes, CSR and Plus 1 get involved, pu at 0500 ( not open) - 1130. My pta was 1000 and it is 85 mt miles. Then del 0700. They need to stay out of setting up these times. Mystic, have you also had these same issues. -
York, NE, at the Petro. Doing laundry as I type this.
FINIALLY got my PM done, between 2 coupons and not being charged for fuel filters that I didn't want/need I got out there for $80 less than any other PM. Worth the wait! Then I drove over to the Blue Beacon and spent part of my savings getting my truck washed.
Tomorrow Dixon, IL. My load delivers in Ashton (10 miles away) Wed morning. -
Steve, I am going to be in Aston Tuesday morning. Was going to try Dixon tonight, but was not going to take a chance finding parking at that one truck. You also going to Swank.

New Jersey at a service area on the turnpike, up north near I80.
I was bobtailed 350 miles to get an mt, from Richmond, VA terminal, where I had put my truck in the shop to get my front end checked out.
It vibrates and bounces, even on smooth roads.
Did a few other little things while there as well.
I got there Sunday and was told there was only the one guy that day and there were 8 trucks in front of me, so I figured I'd end up waiting at least a day or more. But I was woken up at 0745 - they were ready for my truck.
All the little stuff got done, but they could not find anything wrong in the front end. They even took it out for a test drive.
So I'll live with the shaking and bouncing until it gets worse (if it does), then have it checked again.
I was out of the shop by about 1030 Monday.
1/2 hour later I get the load to NJ to get an mt. -
That Petro is always full ... only time I parked there I was BT ... I go a couples of miles down the road to the TA, almost can always get parking there anytime or the day or night.
Yeah ... Plus One does it's thing ... I just ignore it and deliver based on what my hours and my next load dictate.
Like my current load from the broker. Deliver FCFS 0700-1400. Planning 0700 anyway to get my self available ASAP ... get a preplan ... pu any time up to 0930, deliver 400 mile 2100 same day ... duh. So, I will deliver when I need to, pu when I need to and show up at final on the next load early.
Deliver in AL tomorrow AM, then PU and deliver in NC tomorrow night. Then pu NC Wednesday AM and deliver PA Thursday AM. -
They did mention to me another one when I get mt, dh almost 90 to pu going 300, Joplin to Dallas. Going to have to talk to them about that one again. There will have to be some serious $$ on that one, since it will pu before noon, and not deliver until Thursday.
-
Have them call the receiver and see if you can deliver early ... they're pretty good about that.

saw one of these guys try to get out at the Pilot in Dunnigan, CA. I was taking off at 12:30am and this guy was trying to back out but couldnt since a guy was parked behind him, another driver waiting for him to hurry and move since he was blocking the exit got out and tried to help him, after about 10 minutes they figured out it was not going to be possible until the other guy took off. This is why I NEVER pull into a spot unless it exits going forward. These people going for that quick easy pull in ends up being an impossible backing later half the time. better to take the extra couple minutes to get backed in but seems some are just too scared.
I am still sitting at home, called my DL and told him im taking an extra day off and will be in Wednesday, i got a phone call for an interview tomorrow so im going for it.
