Near Martinsburg, WV at the J.
I t-called a load at the terminal so I could get a b-service.
Fastest b-service I've ever had. I checked in at the shop at 1200 and was finished at 1445.
Got done there and headed to Best Buy to get a new power adapter for my laptop, then got to the J with 7 minutes left on my 70. -
big dirt lot at a shell gas/foodmart just west of porterville. was able to deliver the load to walmart dc early. couldn't find an mt. only found one and it said walmart dedicated and a bunch of swift contaier trailers. have only 35 min. left on 70 for tomorrow, so i'm stuck here till friday. good thing about delivering this load today,it gets on this paycheck.

I know that shell quite well DP, I used to live near Porterville up in Springville and drove the 65 daily.
started my day at 5am and hauled 4 trailers today including an extra least from sac to Lathrop and a live unload at the Costco DC in Tracy, then picked up a load to deliver tomorrow morning at 5 am, took off to get closer and tried to park in lodi Flying j with not a single parking spot left, that truck stop is always busy I have seen this past week. Kept driving towards destination trying to find a place, got to the I80 east and traffic was at a halt and I had 38 min left on my 14, got to the weigh station and thought there is usually parking so went in, its closed but signs say no overnight parking. I had 4 min left on my 14 so I called the chp office to see if I could get authorized, he told me to stay put and if an officer shows up to explain the situation and they will probably leave me alone since im trying to be safe. Did a mac 22 since I wont even be able to start my pretrip until 5am but im 15 miles away from my stop so I wont be TOO late.
Hopefully the chp leaves me alone and doesnt wake me up since im exhausted. I should of just stayed in Lathrop and started at 3am, I was trying to maximize my hours for tomorrow though since im almost done gathering trailers and then the DM wants to send me towards home so i could do a 34 at home and not in North CA. I told him I got in trouble last time I bobtailed home but he said I wont with him being in his division and he will get me home as much as I need to. He said he will be keeping me busy moving trailers for another month or so. I am all for it since im making decent money doing this.dptrucker and scottied67 Thank this. -
Still home sweet home. Flew to Chicago this afternoon to meet the wifey plane and then back home to Columbus. Chicago is just to hard to navigate when your English is not that great. She is so happy to be back home. Clean air and quiet. For all of the talk about the shutdown, took me about 5 mins to clear security at CMH and 20 mins to clear at ORD. Every single lane was open.
scottied67 and inkeper Thank this. -
San Antonio ... p/u tomorrow and head to CT. -
man I wanted to be busier and make more money but now I dont even have time to fart lol. Hooked to a load in Lathrop that delivers at 3am so I will be getting up at 1am to get it there blah. DM im working for wants to send me home for a couple days he told me on the phone today and already has a preloaded trailer at a Frito Lay for me to pick up anytime tomorrow night to Saturday night and then tcall it in Montebello yard and then bobtail home, I told him I got in trouble last time I bobtailed home but he said not working for him plus he will dispatch me on an empty trailer move picking up somewhere around Fresno or closer to my home where I "have" to travel through home routed and then nobody can say anything. So far got 25 trailers out of 30 done for UPS and tomorrow will have at least 2 more and he said the other guy can finish the last couple when he comes back from his home time. Then we got 50 trailers from Extra lease to move, I have moved 2 of them down to Lathrop so far when running back and forth for tcall loads. One of the trailers I picked up today was fun, was at the blue diamond nut place, I didnt care for driving through old Sacramento area and then it was a pain at the Blue diamond since they have the 1 lane going in and out and if a bunch of trucks are coming in.....yeah I had to wait for about 15 min for trucks to clear and dock so I could leave. They were glad to get rid of the trailer though since its been sitting in their back lot for like 54 days, a trailer I picked up yesterday at a window place sat there for 11 months...

Oh ... it just keeps getting better ... apparently the gentleman who perpetuated the bomb scare at the Jacksonville airport is a Swift driver ...

inkeper and scottied67 Thank this.

wow....sometimes I want to blow something up lol but I wouldnt do a bomb scare at an international airport
Sitting in Lathrop and stuck my truck in the shop, it has had a small air leak but normally didnt get low until after several hours. This morning when I got to the customer and shut my truck off waiting in a line of trucks and we didnt move for 45 minutes, when I turned the key it was in the red and giving the warning and its been losing air like that throughout today. Also my check engine light is on and wont go off and says there are 2 codes.
I am dispatched on my load to take me home which i told them I am loaded so hopefully they wont take too long to look at it, I think there was 3 other trucks the guy said.
I also need to get some sleep before I head out since I started my day at 1am to deliver at 3, finally docked at 4:30 and unloaded by 5:30 then was off hauling empties and lease trailers again.
