p/u at sourthgate ca and took it to porterville ca and drove back to southgate to get a load going to apple valley ca. for morning delivery. made it here to fontana terminal with 30 left on 14. dealt with alot of traffic, rain, and i-5 being shutdown in sunland due to a mudslide. went around that mess lol

need to get you a coffee maker for the truck, or at least the coffee singles that are like tea bags, its not the best coffee in the world but its coffee.

Goodnight from a Walmart myself in Sacramento, got to teasdale foods in Atwater and while waiting to get checked in with security and get inside the USDA inspector left for lunch, the guard told me there goes the inspector and they wont start loading me until he returns. 3 hours later im finally loaded then drove and tcalled in Lathrop, drove up to Sac to get a lease trailer then took it down to the rail in Stockton and man today was a rookie day, took me 3 times setting up to get backed in. I am setup to haul 4 trailers tomorrow but he said if I get more in to just let him know and he will build a plan for it to get me paid. If I do 4 a day thats going to make me about $200 a day so im good with that. Also called up the DM to talk about the couple trailers I hauled where I only got paid a mile on 2 of them and 9 miles on another 2 so he processed $120 for those and asked my shirt size since I guess someone in the company wants to give me some shirts for helping out with the lease project.

    Ontario, CA at the TA.

I got backed in with 3 minutes left on my 70.
    Close.

Coming down 395 in the wee hours had me a bit concerned because the temp was right around freezing, sometimes below, and black ice is always a concern with wet roads.
At one point a sign said 'chains required 32 miles ahead', so that added to my stress level. But chains were never needed.
I'm glad, because I simply didn't have time for that.

Tucumcari, NM, broke down. DEF crap again. Another sensor. A command load and now they are trying to get a repower. Just when everything finally started to look up, something happens and fall back into this black hole. Maybe I will get lucky and the person that repowers brings a load that will still deliver somewhere on Monday so that I can still get some miles. I checked and there is no freight in this area, neither command or Swift. If Swift can not repower then try and get that delivery changed until Monday which will still give me a chance to get some miles, but instead of Eloy to Cleveland, it will have to be something with 1K miles between Monday and Wednesday.

doing my 10 in Lathrop, only managed 3 trailers today because of different crap throughout the day eating my time up so only 330 ish miles and 3 short hauls, not what I wanted but guess its not the worst.

in Lodi at the flying j everyone decided to take breaks in the fuel islands as usual, today it took almost 40 minutes before I ever even got into the fuel island since some stupid guy decided to go inside for a long time then came out to pump which took him another 15 minutes or so then when he finally pulled forward he went back inside... I finished fueling and had to wait for him to move so I could pull up and there were several trucks doing this and he acted like he couldnt speak english.

Then got to the rail the first time and apparently they didnt register me correctly last night so I had to go and do finger prints and all that stuff again which took some time, then each time going in and out it takes a few minutes to get through the gates. It seems like they have more security than a lot of government facilities lol. Then traffic was bad on a couple trips, I was leaving the rail at 4:45 and the extra lease closes at 1800 so I knew with that traffic backed up I would not make it back to Sacramento before they closed so decided to shut down.

Tomorrow I wont need to worry about fuel, registering etc so hopefully I will be able to manage my 4 which is my daily goal. Not sure what I will do for the weekend since I found out extra lease is closed, I do have 5 trailers here at the terminal I brought with me before I went home everytime I came here to pick up a local load so I could probably get plans setup and go haul those over on Saturday.

today was a great day for backing now that im backing into the same place multiple times I know where to get myself setup every single time, 1st back no pull ups, 2nd and 3rd 1 pull up each and the pull ups were to take some jacknife out since sometimes I like to jack too much so im much happier compared to the rookie backing last night

ended up waiting at walmart dc in apple valley ca for 45 minutes to get a preplan, and for them to say to bobtail back down to southgate for another load back. by time i got out of walmart, i had under 5 hrs left. with all the traffic and time getting the load, ended up stopping at fontana with 45 minutes left. didn't know how bad traffic was going up cajun pass, but decided to not chancw it.
