... fun got funner. I catch a bus at 6:00 pm in Peoria and arrive at 6:00 am in Terre Haute, which means overnight and at least one bus transfer. I know I'll be dog tired by the time I get to my new truck. Hopefully it will be road ready.
Once in the new truck they will need to figure out a way to route me back to pick up the remainder of my stuff from the old truck. Just taking a couple of duffles for the bus ride with the essentials.
Good night from...

Good luck with that.
I did the same thing once. I put all my stuff in storage at the Memphis terminal and was bussed to WV to get my 'new' truck.
Got there at around 3 AM to a truck that had a dead battery in freezing cold and wet weather - and a stink bug infestation.
It took me 2 weeks to finally get back to Memphis for all my stuff.
The truck was in the shop for 1 week of that time because of a leaking transmission output shaft problem that the Swift shop either didn't know about or simply ignored. -
Hopefully they will bobtail me back or route me back right away. All my stuff is in the truck at the shop.

You guys are worrying me with that bus ticket to get a truck stuff. Left Beckly, WV this morning to return a lease trailer in Virgina. Shortly after leaving my park regen light came on but the truck wouldn't do a regen. After I dropped the trailer headed over to Richmond terminal to get it looked at. Was told it'll be a couple days before they can get it in.

I'm on the first leg of my bus journey, with a 5 hour layover. The plan is someone is going to pick me up at the terminal and take me to my new truck. Once I've done the once over, log in, and do a pretrip, I'm supposed to head straight back to my old truck to pick up the balance of my stuff. Then I'll be dispatched to Memphis in case there are any issues with the new truck they will put me into something else. My DM has been very cool about this whole thing and noted that they have a priority on making sure I'm routed back west to be in "striking distance" of home for Christmas.

Caanan, NY. Was hoping to get farther so that I could drop this tomorrow, but weather and HOS, would not cooperate. Replaced the fuel filters this morning, back to 7.8, and then a nice headwind and the hills on the MA pike, back to 6.5. Talked to DM yesterday, and mentioned, my last trip to the east coast, the ne and the se for some time. It has been killing my fuel.

made it fontana terminal. had 1.5 hrs left and with all the traffic, decided to call it a nite and run the 175 miles in the morning.

^^^ You chose wisely, both for time management and terminal.
