Somewhere close to St. Louis, headed eastbound in the sleeper. I feel very fortunate to snag this dedicated TJ Maxx team gig, with weekly east coast runs from LA area.
One thing that is a bit different than advertised, my partner informed me that since they changed the 34 hour reset rules last July, he no longer is able to take 34 hour resets at home. Due to the way the 1-5 requirements play the team takes resets in Las Vegas then runs to LA to pick up the next load. Can't get to home and take a reset. I'll need to study this issue, it would be better to be home, but don't mind running and gunning for a few weeks at a time if it means I have miles during the slow time of year.
Good night from...

Manteno, IL at the terminal.
I picked up a load at the Sears here, but only had an hour left on my 14. Decided to spend the night here.
I'll be heading to MN tomorrow for a 01/10 3 stop delivery.
Then hopefully to home time. -
They are already talking to me about getting some one to take over this truck and get me into a brand spanking new auto t-680. I am thinking about it very seriously right now. Going to wait until I see what KW says tomorrow.
No. you do not need to let it dry out. I have taken a completely wet trailer to coors and all that they said, see that you had it washed out. Good. Also on the reefer accounts, many times we have to get the trailer washed out before a re-load. -
so you lease not own? I would trade it if your having issues

well plans are changed, got a phone call asking if I could come back tomorrow to work since they gave too many drivers Thursday off, I said I would if he gives me something good and he said of course. Called me back later giving me a load to Riverbank then getting a backhaul at conagra I believe out of Modesto. Will be an easy $200+ day for about 8 hours of driving.

Last night I drove east on I-70 through Effingham, IL to Bentleyville, PA. Unbelievable number of trucks in the median and off to the side of the road, many groupings of trucks jackknifed at odd angles in the median. Looked like "cluster trucks" tail gating each other in the storm and getting in trouble as a group.
Fuel stop at the Columbus, OH terminal, my first time there, to take a 30. When I went inside the driver's lounge it was deserted (early a.m.), and I saw something "advertised" at the dispatch window I've never seen in other terminals. They had pictures of "walkways" for doing truck transfers. These are so you can park your old truck next to the new truck and walk right across a catwalk between the truck to transfer your personal effects quickly and easily. Pretty good idea. -
lipton...the walkways are in a few terminals. some are hardto find sometimes. i know mira lom and pheonix has them.
-
OKC and Lancaster have one each.

I first saw them a couple years ago at Memphis.

here at my favorite hotel in Goodyear, AZ. Truck is at KW. They are also thinking that it might have something to do with my upgrade. Just strange that the mpg went down after the upgrade.
