My guess is that driver likely had something in their system they didn't want to have found in the test. But raising heck because you screwed up? Yeah, that's even more dumb.

so your truck got fixed im assuming?

I dont get why people will mess with stuff when they know a test is around the corner, they can random test me all they want since I know I keep clean, I wont even have a beer if im starting a shift within 12 hours.

Went to Grenada Hills today then up to Long Beach for a Yussen load, the 405 was horrible today even during early hours, took me almost 3 hours to go 40 miles. Then took a load to Atwater and decided I would shut down in the back since I had 34 min left on my 14, I had to parallel park the truck into a spot where there is 2 feet of space in front of my truck, took me a few minutes but got it in. I saw a tanker doing the same back here in another parking spot and I didnt think I would even get it in but I went for it since I wasnt sure where else to park. Got a sweep heading back so this load alone makes $150. Tomorrow is a really light day with only 15 loads and 13 drivers, he gave me Merced out of the bunch with a sweep so tomorrow im only working 6 hours besides the 3 heading back but will make $150 on that load so I cant complain too much. I just dont care for Merced since you have to back in from the street, well last time I made the mistake of going in nose first and had to end up doing a very difficult blind after moving the mt as far over in the docks as I could to open 2 docks and it still took me like 45min, backing from the street makes it 10 times easier.

Side note my dang oven quit on me today, i put 2 hot pockets in it and kept checking on it finding them to still be cool, 5 hours later I had warm pockets and they went into the trash since thats not a safe time frame for that temp, stopped on the way to Atwater and got me the lunch box this time, hope it works longer. Just tested out a french bread pizza which heated fairly quickly and the plug wasnt hot like the oven would get.

Wolfy, what brand is your oven? RoadPro? I've gone through half a dozen RoadPro 12v appliances (coffee pot, kettle, and oven) and returned them all. Switched to Burton and much happier.

I had a Burton oven, the one with the adjustable temp.
It fried 12V plugs, no matter the temp setting.

I've got the Road Pro now, and it works much better - both for cooking food and for not cooking 12V plugs.

Most of the melting plugs on all the 12v appliances is from vibrating around and losing connection, it causes arcing and therefore a LOT of heat. If you can come up with a way to zip tie the plug in or some other way to hold it in tight they last a long time. I've even taken the plug off and wired the cooler or whatever right to the posts for the CB with an inline fuse of course.

Excellent point. Just had a 12v plug come out in my hand when I tried to unplug an appliance. It seems like they don't put them in with very much solder and then they get loose easily. I jury rigged it for now, but need to take stuff out of the cabinet underneath to really work on it.

Not when it is only plugged in while sitting still.
The plug with that oven simply got too hot - it drew too much power at all times and simply overheated.

It would get just as hot if I set the oven to 250 degrees as when set at 350.
The Road Pro uses a set current to heat to around 300 degrees, and the plugs never get too hot.

None of the plugs 'vibrated around'. They were all solid and tight connections.

    Oh, good night from...

    Hagerstown, MD at a Pilot.
Delivered here this morning to Petsmart DC.

You know, you never know what will happen when you send a Mac22.
I did for this last load because the snow covered and icy roads were slowing me down too much.
I said I would be there at 0700, 1 hour late. I actually made it there at 0630.
The receiver told me Swift had called and said I would be 'a couple hours' late, after Swift sent me a new delivery appt. time of 0645 (when I had stated 0700 in the mac22).

I went to the Pilot after delivery and was talking to another Swiftie, an L/O. He had also sent a mac22, but no one from CSR called the customer to reschedule the delivery.
So he had to wait, sitting here, for a couple days before he could finally deliver the load.
    He was none too happy.

Some do it right and some don't.
But it seems there are heads up the backsides in either case.

Anyway, I'm back here after picking up a load at the Martinsville terminal, headed for IL.
I started my day at 0100 this morning and had to stop back here to scale my load. The scale ticket with the t-called load was way too close for my liking, what with the steers on my truck being much lighter than the other truck - I thought I might be a few hundred over on my drives.
    11,940, 33,860, 33,860 = 79,660.

Not the case, however. I guess the last driver had a heavier truck.
    My numbers are... 11,760, 33,160, 33,860 = 78,780.
    Good to go.

But I decided to camp out here until morning.
I got laundry done, a shower, and I'll have good coffee when I leave at around 0400.
    Happy camper.
