With the broker loads I send my loaded call for whatever swift wants to see and I keep the broker updated and get there when I told the broker. It like when my truck was dead in the water for 4 days I was under a broker load and I call the broker and left a message for him to call back. He calls back and I give him a update and he says OK he will call the customer. Swift calls two minutes after I get off the phone and asks for a update for the customer and I asked how many people need to call the customer in a one hour period to give them a update. In my eyes it is the brokers customer not swifts the broker should be calling not the one that can't even tell you what the right drop number for their
own customer(I bet a lot of drivers know which customer) without emailing 4 people and 2 hours of time to do it.

Swift will treat the broker as the customer and will just call them. The only reason Swift gets antsy is when the end customer is one of our critical customers. Swift can call the end customer, but Swift will just confuse them.

You can also trip a customer off line when you show up to one of Swift's customers that is exclusively drop/hook for a live load/unload. More than once I've had some gate guard tell me to go drop my trailer without even checking. ES3 in York actually argued with me, trying to tell me I was picking up a preload because Swift only did preloads.

Just ran overnight from just west of Kansas City eastbound on I-70 to an hour west of Columbus. Smooth sailing on bare and dry roads. Temperature was down to -3ºF by sunrise.

Anyone in Philadelphia? That's where we are headed and should make it for our delivery tonight on my shift. News says there's a foot of snow, cold, and roads are bad....

Hattiesburg, MS. Can not wait to get down to I-12 and get back on flat land with this heavy load and get my mpg back up. Soon as ldd, made a phone call, and got a pplan already, pu Friday afternoon in Port Arthur and t-call in Nogales on Monday. For my next trick, getting a load out of there on Monday.

Brighton, MI at my first stop for another pickup.

Unfortunately it took so long trying to find an acceptable trailer that I finally had to bt to the shipper after dropping the old trailer 30 miles away at Detroit Diesel. It was preloaded, thankfully.
Then nearly 40 miles through snow covered roads and rush hour traffic to this stop, and I had less than 30 minutes left on my 70 and 14.
I mentioned my time limitation and they said I could park in the front lot and they would load me first thing in the morning.
They, also, were closing in less than 30 minutes.

the drop and hook customers are funny I was at lazy boy in Tennessee and they thought I had the wrong pickup number at the gate. But so far so good. The broker program is nice except for the pay screw up. Man that make a mess of this week's settlement lol.

There were a handful of trucks that got screwed up last week and didn't get the flat rate pay. Brian made it good immediately. Gave me an advance for the difference within the hour of the email I sent him at 2100 his time. They reconciled everything this week.

This was the first time there was a glitch in a long time and it was made good as soon as it was brought to their attention.

enjoying my day off, got an offer in the mail where the dealership wanted me to exchange my car for a newer one with similar payments, found an suv I liked and best price they could give me was $416 a month so nope...

went to bestbuy and finally bought me a satellite radio system so will get that hooked up once back to my truck, now enjoying some drinks with the wife and watching movies, dont know what I will do tomorrow yet.
