That makes WAY too much sense.

I've already done that and never saw a reimbursement. Basically night before last I told the person at On Road that I can either wait four hours for the terminal to open and send a Mac-22 noting that On Road refused to load my Comdata card or they can load my card...

... well they SAID they loaded the card and sent a message to that fact, but the funds never came through. I finally noticed it was on my card today, which was a good thing because I had to purchase two bottle-boxes of DEF in Missouri early this morning because the DEF had frozen in the pumps.

ugggh just got an unfortunate call, boss called and said he has to let all sleepers go for a couple months since freight is slowed down too much but that he wants me back when we pick up the vegas stores......I tried to see if I could commute and get a day cab but he said he just cant since he has drivers who have been there longer and some arent making money being on standbye all the time. He said he was going to call someone and see if he can find me a dedicated in the area since he does not want me to leave the company.

He called me back as I was writing the post, apparently Rite Aid is looking for someone in Lancaster which is about the same distance and he is going to get some more info once the on site manager gets there then call me back and he said if I can at least hang in there for a couple months he will pull me back as soon as he can since he liked me as a driver. I know rite aid is driver unload but I was told its with a pallet jack which isnt too bad.

If you have to go OTR, get out east and run. You have a better idea now on how to run and make your time pay you. You'll do much better than when you first started out ... the home time will suck, but it is only temporary.

If you're refering to the Target DC in Pueblo, we don't anymore. We used to have a small terminal/drop yard just west of the DC on the same side of the road. Had a "for sale" sign on it until I dropped a load at the DC a while back. Noticed then that the for sale sign was gone as were all the Swift MTs.

Hey everyone, new swifty here. I have been followin this thread for a few weeks now and finally cannot wait any longer to post as I received my driver's code yesterday! I have one more day of flatbed phase one training tomorrow in Greer, SC before heading out with the yet unknown mentor. I live close to the Greer terminal so I have been able to commute and tonight is the last hurrah dinner with the wife on the off chance I get a mentor tomorrow. Be safe everyone.

At the Albuquerque terminal. Decided not to wash my truck due to a forecast for snow tomorrow morning, at present looks like I made the right decision.

    El Paso tomorrow evening.
