Might be for you, not for me. I do business with people I know will pay me within 30 days, 45 days at most.
Most guys are paying a 48% to 60% APR factoring. That's thievery.
I have enough cashflow to carry myself and pay cash for fuel. Actually, there's a couple places I buy fuel at on my route where credit is the same as cash. In those cases I use my AMEX card in order to get the triple points. I then turn right around and pay the amount off.
good Non-recourse factoring

Absolutely not the case!!
Get back on your feet financially to carry 30-45 day receivables.......Then,Every Week a few checks will appear in your PO Box or Mailbox at home, Back into a normal rhythm again.
Like I say- Those Factors aren't in it for you-Trust me.gokiddogo and HopeOverMope Thank this. -
I don't factor either. I thought I would need it so I set up with Orange Capital through NASTC and never used it. Once you go fully independent, do it once you have 6 weeks worth of expenses in the bank. If you have that, you'll be fine. After that, the invoices are rolling in on the regular and, as long as your operating profitably, you'll be fine.

You know everything though, thirty years and I am still learning, and driving a truck.
Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
I went through that mess, sold all of the equipment off in 2009, PARKED my authority, headed to the oil fields of ND, worked 4 years up there.
Paid CASH for another truck and am now happily leased on to a carrier that takes care of business.
The truck is paid for, fresh in frame, with a Cummins Certified delete.
The house is paid for, and yes, I do have a house in Plymouth MI with 3 acres on a private road that is very well insulated, around 12* out there right now... Oh, and it is not a trailer.
New 2017 Silverado 4x4 in the driveway, a lease, $369 a month, my largest expense, and I have owned the truck for 5 months and still have yet to put 1000 miles on her.
Good thing, I have no credit cards. Insurance on the tractor is $200 a month, and of course, utilities, house insurance, taxes and cell phones...
Theoretically I have no debt.
Just found a spot for lease up the street, thinking of opening another business, will make some calls Tuesday.
Rideandrepair, HopeOverMope and stayinback Thank this. -
I was paying 4%.
