Submit the online applications from the websites before any phone calls.
This way, if you do call, the company will already have your application. Tell whoever you talk to that you're checking on your job application.

Ignore the horror stories; many drivers complaining have had a cushy life and don't know what problems are.

Thank you for the clarification and putting my mind at ease. Aside from the background I have everything else going for me. I'm 37 and looking for LONG term work. I will probably end up leaving after I'm well trained to get a better more permanent place at another company, but I really want long term work.

I hope I can find a company that will hire me directly after I graduate so I can hit the road ASAP., because that's what I'm hoping to find.

I have done that for a good number of companies and have had hard time getting anybody on the phone, or to get calls back.

I agree. I've had some challenges in life which is why I'm so excited to get my CDL Nad hit the road. I will never have to worry about work again, as long as I do my job the right way, and it's a career.

I just want to work my but off and get home to my family, that's all I care about. I'm dedicated and have NEVER had a leg up in this world. Especially being a felon, I've always had to prove myself throughout life, and that's what I intend on doing with my CDL.....proving myself to, hopefully, a good company!

I'll apply to both today. Can you tell me where you saw the McLane job. I can't find it on their site either.
