Before your CDL is complete, it would be like finding a winning lottery ticket to actually get hired, but it SOMETIMES happens. We are all assuming one of these companies will hire you immediately after you complete school and have the CDL.

Make sure you distinguish companies saying they prefer X amount of experience and REQUIRE x amount of experience. Don't treat a company saying they prefer X months experience as "Do Not Apply Here". SOME of the companies saying they require less then 1 year MAY accept someone with 6 months experience. So the companies requiring 3-6 months MAY hire with zero experience. What I'm saying is don't take yourself out of the running simply because a company says they PREFER candidates with X. ALMOST every company is short of drivers. If your qualifications/history can get approved by their insurance company they may hire. Since you have a mark on your history you might have fewer companies willing to dip below their ideal candidate experience requirements, but it may not be zero.

With so many trucking companies using the Intelliapp online application system, applying online for every company could mean just a few minutes of confirming with Intelliapp you are you and you are applying for job with company X. Once you fill out one Intelliapp application, or maybe nce you start to fill out the Intelliapp application your details are stored and each subsequent application is just a couple of questions to update your most recent job history dates, or home address, etc. The Intelliap system stores you info based on SSN and driver license number, so maybe once you complete CDL training and have the driver license number then you can drop apps on lost of companies with little effort.

Yeah I understand that. But if you could knock that out for a year, the worlds your oyster. Plus you’d make some serious bank.
