You license will be ok. If you get close to your medical expiring and you don't want to spend the $$ for a new one, you can go to the dmv. Self certify yourself in one of the "Excepted" categories and your CDL with not get downgraded. Then If you want to drive again, go get a new physical and you are good to go.
That will be the Tier two paper to sign. Its a couple paragraphs and your signature is under oath. No DOT med card needed. Thats how Arkansas grandfathers CDL's for those who hold them.
a) short answer, yes.. b) long answer, teen mumbo jumbo. c) I hear I'm about 2 years behind the 8 ball d) IT MEANS DITTO with a swear word interjected, LoL~! e) aging gracefully is an oxymoron.
I've pm'd him and replied on here...I even 'taught' him how to 'back a truck' with a 1:16 version.. Yard jockey positions are NOT always/often advertised, but I'll tell you what...I filled in for 'our' hostler at my company, and was sure more tired than 'just being a driver~' ~~!!! LoL.. truth. I just don't understand how/why a person 'reaches' out for help, and doesn't grab the 'MANY' landlines available (USN'S here, ya know..)
Sorry to hear about your son. All the modern trucking garbage I've read about the megas, horror stories, crap pay.. the whole industry needs an overhaul and don't see it getting any better if the democrats win 2020.. you should look into school district work.. some will pay for your medical while working with them. Worth it. Up to $18 an hour. I have a CDL but only will use it when I've had enough scrubbing toilets. The free healthcare is worth it too if you have a family.
Here in my 'rural' town in Ohio, the ones signed on with the county make dang good money, and the benefits are awesome. Union here? Not sure.. still, something worth loo. king into, for the O/P that won't reply
As does my small 350 power unit company; kick arse Mack Pinnacles, twin screw. I tried also, for sure.
