It's called cloud computing. Basically what you'd be using is a low cost brain dead, dumb terminal, which is basically nothing more than a monitor and keyboard connected to the internet. All your programs would be located on google's servers rather than your hard drive. You could also use a hand held device like your phone. Will it catch on? Maybe. But I doubt it will put the PC makers out of business.
