Good deal, I appreciate it. While I'm not looking at switching companies anytime soon, I always like to have a company or two on the back burner just in case.
Gordon is one of my top choices, especially since I hate the east coast so much. I'll take the snowy mountains over being stuck in the northeast for 7 days anytime! -
I like what i see on here and what i heard talking to the recruiter..so lets see if they like my app or not...

What I've seen of GTI is good, but check out TWT as well. Both good companies based in the Pac NW.

I'm just out of scholl and Gordan wants to hire me to run the Calif, Nevada, Arizona division. Can anyone give me some insite on this? The I-5 sounds tough. US Express wants me to run 48 state team but I really want to be solo.

What you describe is the southwest fleet. My best suggestion is to strongly consider your expected home time. The farther you run from home the less often you will get home.
-
Not The Southwest Fleet, They said I need 6 months to get that. Maybe it doesn't cover Arizona?
-
You were probably confusing the NCA fleet and the southwest fleet. The NCA fleet runs the I-5 corridor, Washington, Oregon, and California. Running that fleet allows you to be home every 2 weeks, always close to a terminal, (Rancho Cucamonga, Modesto, Medford, Clackamas, and Pacific, Wa.). A lot of freight and easy to help if you have any problems. Good Luck

So Cali Thanks this. -
Thanks Yatista, That's it. They told me NCA stands for Nevada, Calif, Arizona. Either way it sounds like it would be lots of traffic and low miles on the I-5? The Southwest fleet sounds better?

Each fleet at GTI has its own advantages and disadvantages depending on your personal goals and objectives. I-5 stretches nearly 1400 miles and offers opportunities for multi -day runs, easy access to parking and rest areas and plenty of freight. You also deal with snow covered passes and rain.
The southwest fleet does not lend itself to runs that are up to 3 days. You find yourself on U.S. highways instead of interstates, which provide fewer parking opportunities and few rest areas. The winter weather is great but summer temperatures can reach 120* F . Of course you will always be within a couple days drive of home.
I am on the U.S. fleet, run both areas, plus as far East as Ohio and Kentucky with occasional trips to Canada. It's the fleet that best matches how I like to drive. My suggestion would be to start where GTI needs you and over time determine and refine what your real priorities are. You can then transfer to the fleet that best suits you. Good Luck
