Like I said, How many you see upside down. Even I got nicked by a GTI driver who backed into my trailer at a yard, #### newbies. As for the TA in Corning, there right, thats a whole breed of weirdness there. I do know we lease quite a few slots in the SW corner but other then that.....peace be with you.

Understatement of the YEAR! LOL.

I used to drive for Gordon. My truck was old, but it had a rebuilt Cummins in it, (the Detroit drivers always asked if I wanted to trade!). My regular dispatcher kept me busy, although I think they test you at first by giving you all the crappy runs. Anyway after 6 months I was running dedicated General Mills. I still be with them if I had'nt screwed up, (long and boring story), as they were totally fair to me. Now as far as the weekend and night dispatchers....well let's just say I would wait until my dispatcher came to work. Be safe everyone and enjoy the fact that you have a job! BTW, in Corning, I parked across the street because the food was better at the Iron Skillet!

Gaps in employment over 30 days are red flags to carriers. It is not simply sufficient to say I was unemployed for 14 mos with SOME carriers. You have to PROVE what you where doing during that time frame.
In my case when I went to work at one carrier I had to provide notarized affidavits that I was seeking employment because for some reason they can't comprehend that some people don't need to work and want to know why you where not working.
In my case the recruiter just had me get affidavits from others. In your case it just sounds like they could not be bothered and where not willing to make it happen so you could be approved for hire. There are Federal requirements on work history that are different from non- driving jobs., but they could of made it work. -

You don't need to tell us a story. Just tell us why they canned you. I think you could do it in one sentence. Like I got in a wreck, or pissed off a customer, or got to many tickets etc...

Got stopped in Oregon for not dimming my foglights in the fog....sheesh, and the trooper found a mistake in my log.
Stupid ### mistake, my my fault. What can u do? I got parked for 10hrs, but still made it on time to my delivery the next day. The crappy e-series trailer, (Gordon drivers will know what I'm talking about), had a slightly bent bumper which the trooper wrote up. I turned it in to get fixed and of course my ticket was on there and the rest is history. Still, I am not bitter, it was my fault and I learned a lesson. I would still drive for them if that were possible. I heard a lot of horror stories out on the road about other companies, but not so many about Gordon. Plenty of drivers would ask me how I liked Gordon because they were looking to bail on their present companies. Be safe and enjoy the ride!
Baack Thanks this. -
Your already punished by a fine and the 10 hour sit. And now they want to fire you. I could see it if you had a bunch of log violations or did something unsafe like parking on a rr track.
The stress level must be high for drivers at that company. -
I might be getting started with Gordon too. Already have a pre-hire. Quick question though, can I run all 48 states as a solo driver with Gordon? From looking on their website, it looks like they are mainly regionalized.

Hey Panda, as a Driver at GTI, I would put our safety record and our overall drivers' experience against anybody. Like was said earlier; Walmart is the only carrier that has our record beat. As for parking; I don't know what point that you are trying to make nor do I care. I don't know who you drive for, but since you are so good at parking, maybe you could volunteer your services up in Pacific and show us. I think that you just have it in for GTI and you are just spewing nonsense.
I come across guys like you everyonce in a while and they usually are the ones that either got canned or couldn't get on with our company...
Stay safe and try not to lump everyone into a "category" of your making. It is a sign of ignorance.

pretty sure they mostly stay west of the rockys. I know they have some customers in the midwest and have seen them as far east as NY, but that might be dedicated work
