Sorry about that 550,I didn't pay attention to when you had posted the message,I had just seen that had been seen a few minutes earlier.I was wondering if I had seen that you had a marine cam 1000hp.? for a c-16,might you be willing to sell it?

 

Sorry i did but i traded it for a 800hp C15 cam that needs installing.

 

Do you know anyone that might be willing to sell one?Are using a B exhaust manifold?I was going to get a PP manifold but after reading some things on another thread I went out a found a B,did you have to modify it other than for clearance?I guess I should quit asking Cat questions on this DD thread.Maybe we should continue this on DDS's video thread.Do you have any luck get in contact with him?

I got mine from CAT actually, sold the 1000hp cam locally.

 

550,do you have any idea of how you could get his e-mail address to me?If you don't mind what kind of $ are one of those cams.

550,thanks alot for all your help,did you get your injectors the same place you bought the cam?I really need to get things sorted out between what works with the c-15s and what works with the 15.8 3406E,I better not call it C-16 anymore.Since you like KW's you may have seen my old truck it was on the Cat scale cards a couple of years ago and it was July'05 Rotella truck.if you want send me your e-mail,I'd like to ask a few more questions but I shouldn't any more on this DD thread.Thanks again!

 

First off there is no such thing as a C-16 1000 hp marine cam. Max power of a C-16 built by CAT was 680 Hp.

 

I bought them from the wonderful Mr. Haney. The 1000hp cam is a C18 cam.
