I am not a fan of the ppower box. I would like to make power with out just cranking the boost up. I would be happy with that kind of power at the flywheel. All of the hills I pull running in the northwest I would be going thru tires to fast if I had that power at the rear wheels. I know my heavy foot all to well.

The PP box does not crank the boost,it manipulates the signal to the injectors to add more feul. You may see a slight increase in boost but for the boost you'll need to something with turbo. If you have a heavy foot just leave it on the low levels 2/3.

Boost will go up as fuel flow increases.

Troy, Alice gave me your number ill give ya a holler tomorrow on our way to phoenix, i know OF a guy that can get you an ECM program for $375 that will get you to 600hp easily, he can also do more.

I really dont see a difference in tire wear with the torque and hp, maybe its a michelin thing though.

Perhaps that is why you are stuck at 1049whp, maybe a C-15 is better to surpass that power level...... Im just trying to be a smart a-z-z dont loose sleep over it Mr. Haney.

I got something for ya come spring, as you said i CANNOT touch your power level no matter what i do. I think i just may have you beat.... With a MBN motor too :biggrin_255:

Or better yet and old pos 3406B

Martin I know guys that have hooped up cats and they are hard on tires with all of the hills between Roseburg and Redding. I would be happy with my old computer program even.

On my comment about the PP and boost,it just seemed his perception was a little off.The boost probably wouldn't much exceed his turbos wastegate setting.M. did you get my e-mail?

I have a non wastegated turbo on mine dd14. I know of a guy who has his motor set up identical to mine and has the ppower box. He said that his boost went way up. He runs it on 2-3 depending on where and what. I personally have nothing against them I am just not a fan of them.

If you have a non wastegated turbo of course you will see a rise in boost if you add more fuel...more fuel = more exhaust gas volume = more driving power on turbine = faster spinning turbo = more boost. No matter what method you use to add more fuel(as long as you have the oxygen to burn it) you will always get more boost if you have no wastegate.

Thanks for the calrification on some of that Jas. I was told by a couple of people that I know that the ppower box is more like a boost controller than a injecter and fuel controller. I am not to familiar with one because of the fact that the detroits do not get a lot of power for the money like the cats do. For 2 grand I would rather have other things.
