    Vinsanity,
Great thinking and advice. I'll check to see what I can arrange. Not sure I can match your creativity, but I can try.
    Thanks, Anchorpoint

    NoCoCraig,
Thanks for the tip. Maybe I can get that on my side. I'm gonna check that out. Thanks for the info. Might save me more than a few bucks.
    Thanks, Anchorpoint.

My recruiter finally got back to me and I got pre-hired, even with my 3 y/o DUI and lack of OTR experience. I was honest and upfront aboat EVERYTHING. I was so excited I haven't had much work in over 2 months and am living w/ friends because I lost my apartment. Everything was going great on the phone conversation, she was scheduling me for orientation, and ready to put me on a bus, then said, "wait...you're in Idaho? We only hire teams from your area." She went through so much trouble, getting me through the hoops, with the DUI lack of OTR, and 15 year old felonies, how could she miss where I'm from? All is not completely lost though. I've been a mover/ CdL driver for over 7 years. Bekins is working on getting me in thier new lease/ purchase program, from all indications, I'm pretty much approved. Approved by the main recruiter, approved by the Bekins/Wheaton committee, now just waiting for the background check to clear. I'm not too worried aboat that though, My most recent felony is 15 years old, they only go back as far as 7. Just wanted to vent again, sorry if I'm boring anyone. Too bad they aren't hiring solos, US Express has awsome equipment. But my recruiter at Bekins says the truck I'm getting into will be one of 20 2007 freitliners w/ low miles. Be kinda nice to be corporate dispatched and not chained to an agent too.

Well, I am leaving today at 5:30 PM to head to Dalton, Ga to join US Xpress as a new driver. I'm taking the Greyhound bus out of Tampa, FL. I also have heard that its a horrible ride according to one blogger but I think it will be ok. I have high hopes and look forward to driving as a Tractor Trailer Driver. I understand that I have to team driver for a minimum of 6 months and then I can go solo. I read on this blog that U.S. Xpress is going teams only and thats fine but I still want to go solo after six months. We'll see how it goes.
