Rrts is a great company to work for. Most of the people you speak to are nice and help you out when you need it. They always have loads, the most we ever waited for a load for 2 days, but its usually in and your out the next afternoon or morning. Teams go out first, than solo drivers. They have several terminals located throughout the states & that's a good thing too. Pay is great imo. Only bad thing is they can hold your pay if you don't hand in all your paperwork, which is reasonable.

Roadrunner does not really have a great base for owner ops depending on which terminal you run out of,they usally have one team or two at each terminal. Worked there with hubby as a team and the terminal we ran out of had one team on there freight plus some of the terminals want to run you there way to keep a eye on you. When we first started looking into them they sent a pay sheet on lanes the lanes were paying terffic like $250 to $ 270 but buy the time all paper work was down and we got there for orientation the lane prices droped drasticle the only lanes that paid good was new york and if i remember correctly the prices went down to $1.75. Most of the terminals only pay$1.05 for out bound so we always did 3 broker runs and sat for two days to before you could get a terminal load. If you you go good luck

Well I can say this. The Bolingbrook office which was originally Dawes of Chicago my dad along with his best friend ran for years... When it was Dawes it was a decent place to be. However I hope you enjoy having your trailer damaged. I can provide proof of all the damage to teh trailer as I now own the trailer and you can see the patches. As far as pay for LTL. Its a joke by todays standards. Your way better off running percentage than you are "by the mile". At least in the LTL game. The one nice thing is they have terminals all over so you don't have to drop at 20 stops. Most can come off at a terminal. For a price of course. Just do your research before you make any decisions.

Have been lease to both RRTS and Landstar you will make far more money and sit far less with Landstar. First thing you must your own trailer at RRts not so will Landstar. Each terminal has it own milage pay per lane. Like Detroit to FL 1.45 +fsc or Dallas to Detroit 1.02+fsc each one is different. Also you do sit more than a day at the terminals to unload and load. These full loads of LTL it takes a long time. Like Charlotte terminal doesnt unload you till 2am till noon get there at 1pm you will not get unloaded then loaded the next day. Most terminals only unload after midnight cincy at 6am. At landstar you load at the customer in eight months I have not been held up everyone seem to need the freight. Landstar also has more freight and way more freedom you keep moving and making money. After a year at RRTS running solo I made 1.43 for all miles. But had the added cost of the trailer if you lease one from RRTS it 800 a month plus you pay all ware and repairs on top of that. In my a pinon you will be much better off at Landstar. oh forgot RRTS will tear the sh++ out of your trailer which you pay for. Also at RRTS you will get about 3 to 5 loads afforded to you let's say your in Atlanta you might get afforded an Indy Boston LA and Baltimore that is it make your pick. Also most terminal only load outbound loads on Tuesday and Friday. Just to many things to limit your revenue.
Travelinman Thanks this.
