Actually carriers keep logs as computer files for quite sometime. The safety critter I know real well tells me they hang on to theirs anywhere from 8 months to 2 years based on situations. I am aware that the chances of running into an enforcement action either as a driver or a company is rare. That was not my primary point. My primary point is a carrier that is run by professionals won't allow this to happen. "outlaw" happens I know. I see shut down orders all over the FMCSA website. I said in another post that just like salmon will swim upstream to spawn. There are things about trucking that will stay the same. If a driver is not doing this yearly certification something is wrong. Every company I ever drove for did it. Have a nice night, im done!
