I'd like it better than the same thing only a straight 10; it's hard to find 9 speeds that new. It probably could be turned up to 475 without problems but that would be up to a shop to decide.

How is it set up for gearing and other specifics?

All C-15 can go to 550/1850. the limiting factor for you is the trans tq rating. most Cat dealers wont uprate past trans tq rating even if theres no trans warranty left.ask about multi tq programs. 9 sp is rare in that new of a truck. could it be a blocked off 13 sp ? some large carriers speced this way for resale ( Werner )

Why would someone want to block off a 13 and have it as a 9?

i would put money on it, that its a blue truck or was blue. and that the trans can be converted to a 13 speed. remember after converting to a 13 speed trans warranty drops to a year 100,000 mile warranty on the day it was converted

Sounds like ex Werner trucks. Ive owned 3 Centurys with Cats so that would be my pick. drove a friends Classic for a few weeks ( a 2002 ) hated it. road like crap.no room behind the wheel. just like my old C/O Freightliners except with a hood. ok, maybe not that bad but you get the point.. just my opinion.
