One customer where we delivered chemicals in a tanker, they would give us a few bottles of different types of cleaners and waxes for our car or truck. That's what they made there. Real nice of them to do that.

    NavigatorWife and pattyj Thank this.

When I use to haul oil up to the IP mill in Ticonderoga there was 6 or 7 guys there that worked in the boiler area before they subcontracted it out that you would deal with depending on what shift you got there. Out of all of them only one was a real tool. It wasnt uncommon for the guy who worked afternoon shift to have the grill going and always had a steak or something to offer you and if he didnt he would offer to fire it up. Ive dealt with some real jerks before at other places. One thing I found that works on them is to just stare at them for awhile, sometimes it tends to make them a little nervous and cool down a bit.

Yes? They had me run nonstop in all of Canada for two months straight at one point. Nothing but farms the whole way and then huge packed cities and then another 300 miles of farms.

Simple reply: is that according to the state occupational health and safety you are not qualified to use that particular piece of equipment as you are not an employee of the store or warehouse and have not been trained in its use.

Excellent point Mountain, if something happened, can you imagine the legal quagmire that would result? Their "onsite lawyer" is probably just waiting for that!

I live by a simple ideology it is called "covering your ###", but when working around customers you just have to be able to tell them to go to hell in a manner that they are happy and thankful that you have holiday suggestions for them.
