Hey fellow drivers, as the title says I got laid off today from OD. I have to say it felt like if someone dropped a cold bucket of water on me, while listening to the manager breaking the news and I have to say is a hard pill to swallow. The manager told me he tried his best to keep me. Corporate decided it was best to let me go as freight its really slow plus I was one of the last hires, although he said once freight pick up he will call me back to return. As a right now Im lookin for another company, I just put my app for FedEx freight, I hope FedEx gives me a call. @Fuelinmyveins can you please tell me how long is the process thanks.
I just wanted to vent as I mentioned early is a hard pill to swallow.

Pillows are hard to swallow. Look on the bright side. It give you a chance to move to a more reliable company. When they try calling in a few months id just hang up. Why go threw that bs.

UPS Freight Truckload is hiring individuals to work as full-time, Dedicated OTR Dry Van and Dedicated Dry Van operators. As a driver, you can expect to drive a delivery of freight to two or more locations. You will typically run freight for a single dedicated customer, and may be assigned to an operation based at a specific customer location.
