I heard (second hand) that UPS laid off drivers after Christmas.
When I got pulled into a a weight station for an inspection the officer said he picked a UPS truck so now he picked me because of the company I work for. The UPS driver told him about the lay offs.Texas_hwy_287 Thanks this. -
#### I figured UPS dont let go of people since you guys have alot of freight. I mean excuse my ignorance statement but since UPS is so big.

If that job doesn't pan out seriously come on out. Im hauling crude and cashing checks that would make your senior linehaul guys envious. There is tons of work here and lots of options to choose from in eastern new mexico and west texas. There is great money in sand and water too.
A word of caution though. Stay away from Xcalibur in Jal. You can make good money with them. I did. But the equipment is the worst I have ever seen.viper822004 and bentstrider83 Thank this. -
Big cities can keep people running while the smaller yards usually cut staff. Its one of those hard to hang on jobs in the beginning depending on location. I spoke with a supervisor and before peak 3 people left within x amount of months. Some with 2-3 years in. Its not for everyone. -
