Got my first ever ticket!

Welcome to the real world. Cops sit and time drivers where they most expect them to exceed the speed limit. ie at the bottom of a downhill.

They care not for fuel savings, ecology and the like. Only a number on the speed limit sign and on their radar.

Those numbers are there for a good reason, and that's not just to hand out tickets.

 

Well, not trying to defend the police but you think they give a crap if the load pushes us over the limit or you need 'momentum' going up the next hill? Hell no. you were in the right place at the wrong time.

 

CSA points only come from Roadside Inspection Reports, not citations. If the officer did not write a Roadside Inspection Report, you only face the fine and a mark on your MVR.

 

Call a local attorney where you got the ticket, They will take care of this for you and they can get it tossed completely. I did this in Va my ticket was worse than your sent them 250 and it was gone.

Some of them are clearly ########. Logan, NM for example. The 35 and 45 speed zones on US54 start nearly a mile outside of town, for no other reason than gain revenue.

And 25 mph on US95 through Searchlight, NV? A major 4 lane thoroughfare? Gimme a break, lol!

Yeah, I got a bullcrap ticket in Tenn years ago. Didn't want it messing up my cdl so I wrote a letter included a check and it went away. So di the cash from the account but the moral is all they wanted was the money and I don't think that has changed.
