If your choice of lawbreaking is either running with the jake on, or speeding, ride with the dang jake on
jaiart Thanks this. -
Got one on my bike 15 over they changed the speed limit I did not see it,45 in a 30.
State boys got me,I went to court 12-24 -2012 yeah of all days, anyway the prosecutor met with me we talked I told her my main concern is keeping it off my record.
She made a deal I paid a more in fines like 270.00 and no violations for a years and it would be hidden.I told her I needed it hidden cuz of my commecial lic,she then said ,well normally we cant do it on a commercial lic, due to fed regulations blah, blah, blah, blah.
BUT we will pretend you did not mention commercial lic and I did not ask,LOL I was NO PROBLEM,so paid fine.
And did not even go in front of the judge .
Now trying to keep my foot out of it its hard but getting easier, I normally use cruise.
Also I know a guy that got a heavy ticket for speed and has a lot of experience with speeding tickets, (racer)and he just got one recently, and was going to go fight it in court, cuz he asked when the last time the radar was calibrated.
and it was out of calibration. I guess they lose a huge percentage after like only a week or two and it was 45 day.
I had not done any research on it since it was after mine was done in court. but it might be something for you or anyone to check out for a defense next time -
Get radar detection!

Don't just pay it, and let it end there. Take time off, go to court, and beg for mercy. If they see that you don't have a habit of speeding, and that you rely on your CDL for income they should be able to cut you some slack. In my opinion, the fine is the smallest part of the punishment when a CDL carrier. -
Contact the city attorney or county attorney and talk to them about a diversion. They won't care about no diversions for CDL holders. Pay the ticket and their diversion fee and avoid any other tickets for 6 months or whatever their policy is. If you talk to them nice and be remorseful, I'm willing to bet they'd agree to it. Worked for me. And I know a couple others that did.
