Got my first Job, now what?

Day 3 of orientation and we’ve been given one phone number. The missing pay number for tarping. Apparently it happens a lot. Call and beg for your money.

 

Ok so here’s a conspiracy. They bussed in a crap load of new people this week. Every class was packed. Somehow all of sudden they can’t do urinalysis tests anymore. But they also just so happen to have run out of trainers at the same time. I’m unlikely to be able to complete training because they somehow stopped being able to piss test all of sudden!

 

wwwwaaaayyyy too many red flags....

 

How does it help the company to have way too many applicants at orientation than jobs or trainers?

Can they be expecting tons of drivers to fail the drug test or quit in orientation?

 

They are quite alright with letting people sit for weeks, from what I’ve heard. I guess it’s part of their business plan. They don’t pay people anything for waiting, and they own the motel here.

 

Is that the motel across the interstate from a truckstop?
Doing hair follicle now, huh?

 

They are letting people take drugs.... I took a drug test got hired. Got called back after first day to take another drug test. A lot of people take drugs after a test, thinking they won't get back to back tests.


They waiting will get the addicts to hit it.

 

Oh duh, that makes a lot of sense now that you mention it. I didn’t think of that.
