I'll keep my sliced bread thank you... I gotta eat after all this about all I eat out here is sandwiches and canned soup so if I gotta choose I'll go with the bread

There is a trick to roll up the tail end off the strap and secure without the need for tape or anything else.
OLDSKOOLERnWV Thanks this. -
I try to not have to use anything to secure he tail of any strap. But, working for an electrical contractor tape is always handy. Leave a buddy tail as we call it and no knife needed. Most important thing though is getting your load there safely. Be safe out there.

Never come undone on me eitherpeterbilt_2005, Logan76, Oxbow and 7 others Thank this. -
I like that system mine just don't lend themselves to that.

Am I the only one who, when possible, runs the straps the other way through the ratchet and wraps the tail up and leaves it between the load and the strap? I don't have pictures because I rarely use 2 inch straps, maybe I'll set one up later today.

I've done that before, the biggest problem is if you're strapped becomes loose for whatever reason your excess strap ends up on the ground.4mer trucker, Oxbow, MJ1657 and 2 others Thank this.
