Ok I had an interview on Monday and I got the job. So they say I will be out 3 weeks and home 5. They said 2 of the 5 days or flying to and from home. I don't like the fact that I don't get my own truck but I switch everytime I go out. They said I would average between 1800 and 2400 miles a week which seems low to me. BUT I could be wrong. I start at .34 a mile.

Don't do it!Pay is low,not enough miles,3 weeks out is a LONG time and I can't imagine moving my #### to another truck every 3 weeks.

Why are you flying to and from work and
    Who's paying for it.
Only trucking jobs that are worth doing that are
Oilfield jobs and they don't pay by the mile.

Roehl and Schneider both have something like that. I'm guessing it's one of those two.

That position is called Mobil Fleet. Basically SNI will fly you to a dtop yard or OC where a truck is sitting, you'll run freight for a few weeks then work your way to the OC the truck is assigned to. You might do fill in work for MalWart Dedicated or FamilyDollarGeneralTree too unfortunately. Alot of the recent hires from Alaska are on this gig.

My guess is he's in Florida or Alaska. We fly him into whichever market needs more capacity and then fly him home after at least three weeks. In terms of driving jobs available in those markets, with no experience, it's a solid deal.

Would I do It? Not a chance, but I also wouldn't live in Southern Florida.

For who's paying - I regularly dead head home 100 plus paid miles and go home every week. Having him relay a load at an OC and flying him out doesn't cost much more than the dead head home, especially the longer they stay out. At least that's what the bean counters say.
