Every pound of boost mine goes down 3.1 doing only 55 boost at 25 climbing a hill 12.2 at 70 boost only about 3 on flat ground its a matter of how much fuel your using to over come the current situation the wind your in, the grade you climbing or coasting down, weight of load, air pressure in tires, temperature outside, conditions of the road. For a true test one would have to run the truck the same day at the same time. So all the variable match up am I wrong

Pretty sure we all do the minimum speed limit. That's 45 mph in most states. No law says I have to do the maximum speed limit. And while I can't say I've never cut someone off accidentally, I do try to not do so. But also, I will move over if someone is on the shoulder even if that means you gotta back out of it for a minute.

But in his logic from a few pages back before he started contradicting himself was that by going faster (and getting lower fuel economy, my words) he was able to eke out more miles driven by grabbing an extra load he wouldn't have been able to get had he driven slower. Thus the extra revenue offsets the loss of lower fuel economy.

What were the conditions on each run? Most importantly wind direction? This last trip I was getting 9.3 MPG going with the wind. Then it changed and I was doing 6.5 just like that.

You are right some times they do need to get over thats life but to stay in others way for prolonged periods because they can is bs and you know it. but hey argue on here this week this way and well hear ya crying on the radio next week when their in your way.
And if you your to stubborn to realize that we dont care if you do 45 or 95 just do it safely and with some respect for others then their is an attitude problem. I dont mind slowing down letting a truck over to pass avoid something or someone whatever their need is. Its the 5 min later still being held up because you could not make it around whatever yet or your just being a ##### that bugs me.

Honestly this is a never ending thread with no winners. Who cares how the other guy drives his truck? As long as he's not endangering the lives of my family or other families who cares? If he wants to run 110 an get 2 mpg more power to him. I hope he doesn't as that is extreme dangerous speeds. But if I want to drive 65 then who cares? Go around me and roll on!

Wwould love to but dang your in the middle lane cant go left its the law and the line of cars and trucks passing you on the right is never ending. LOL
    Or
Your on a two lane passing a a truck thats governed and can only do 64.5 do the math it takes you a long time to get around him.

I do agree though no one wins we all have our thoughts on this btw I dont think you or half those posting about why they are going slow are the ones that run the middle just because or pass that never ending turtle race I believe that most drivers on here are ones that know how to show some respect towards other drivers. Atleast I can hope it makes me fell better

I agree with everything here. A little bit of cooperation on the road goes a long way. I've backed out of it many times when a company truck tries passing me on a hill.

Me to just this afternoon a bulktank was going by and got almost all the way around and his progress just stopped I turned off cruise let him get about a truck ahead turned back on cruise and by the time I was back at speed he was about 5 ahead of me rode that way tull he got off its not that hard to do. I will speed up slow down whatever us needed to make it as easy as I can for me and the other drivers and thats the good thing about not being governed I can do those things though
One could always slow down either way but speed up if needed
Sometimes speedjng up is whats needed been there done that got busted for it but was let go after I explained and he went and reviewed his cam tols me he probably would have do e the same but still dont make it a habit. LOL
