No governor here. I work for a small 5 truck company in South Dakota. I can go as fast as I want. Usually drive at speed limit wherever I am. Some places I go in Wyoming it gets up to 80 (the speed limit that is). I worked for Maverick up until March of this year. Those trucks were governed at 64. Got as much as 75ish downhill. Never was warned of speed by them or even heard of anyone else being warned.

This may be a bit of a revelation for me....
So, the only reason people pass each other so #### slow is because they can't go any faster?

Have I just been being a dick by trying to pass like everyone else is doing? Really slow, at a speed difference of 2-4 mph?

Then doubly, when I lose my patience, cars are backing up behind me, and I just hit the gas and pass quicker.....I can only imagine what an idiot I've looked like over these last 10k miles.....

    Lol yep that's exactly why.

One is doing 62.5 and the other is doing 63 and that's all they can get. 63 doesn't have enough common sense, patience or courtesy to stay in line and wait till he's got enough clear road behind him or a hill to get it done.

The very first thing my trainer taught me when I was in a 63 truck was don't be that guy lol

I'm governed at 72, which sucks seeing as how most of the highways outside the cities are 70mph. 64? WTF are you going to do with that? Get rear ended?

    Vincent2254 Thanks this.

Governed at 99...run 66..but when I go to pass someone doing 64 and they suddenly speed up I got the motor to safely crush their games and pass.
