I can guarantee that if you ask any of the folks who've come to the US from any of those countries, they will all tell you that you do not want that here.
Government regulates everything else time to regulate rates.

I came from the ole Soviet Union, and once again I hate communism and will defend freedom with my life.
the issue here is the industry is regulated no matter what anyone says. If we have to live with for the sake of “safety” then by all means make the laws work for everyone.
as of right now the industry regulations is heavy on the trucker side and only on the trucker side.
so why not lesson the burden on the trucker and evenly distribute it?PPLC Thanks this. -
Here's a scenario for ya.
The government regulates the industry and says, "No truck turns a wheel for under $3.00 a mile."
Are you going to say, "No, I won't work for any more than $2.00 a mile." -
How do you guys feel about countries like Sweden, Norway, Finland, Germany and that socialistic wasteland to the north of you?
loudtom Thanks this. -
None if that's their choice, none of us have an issue with what you're saying, just your wanting goverment involved in it that's not flying.Sirscrapntruckalot and JonJon78 Thank this.

I personally don’t like regulations like I keep saying, my point is tweaking what’s already on the books and requiring brokers to get licensed to cut down on double brokers and help level the playing field.
Any broker in any industry requires licensure yet in this industry every Tom Dick and Hairy can become a broker.
they can double broker loads without any real penalty and get away with it.
Industry that’s heavily regulated on one side means that side is getting shafted. -
Some probably will say that. I'm sure there are others who will say otherwise. Just like some love USA, and others will probably migrate elsewhere. To say all, we don't really know that. I've heard some immigrants admit they made a mistake moving here so we dont need to be so arrogant to think that USA is the cream of the crop for everyone.

You can't say that, because you dont know. When you go over there to North Korea and ask every one of those millions, come back on here and show the results.
-
I can in fact know that, because I value things like: internet access to the world, freedom of speech, being free of having to perform forced labor or getting my ### shot for dissenting. I can tell you that I value being able to feed my family, and not having the lion's share of consumer goods going to allies of the party in power regardless of whether or not I'm part of that party.
These are objective truths. If you've got some time, and a strong stomach, I'd encourage you to look at the human rights reports coming out of North Korea.Brettj3876, Truckermania, Sirscrapntruckalot and 3 others Thank this. -
What is your next plan if the majority of brokers band together and decide to only pay $1.40 pm? You have no guarantee that the broker will pay more with transparency. It could backfire.brian991219, JonJon78 and Rubber duck kw Thank this.
