I run coast to coast. And have no problems with my Cobras 7750 anywhere I go. I can easily dodge scales with just a tap of the detour button.

STAY AWAY FROM THE 710 RAND McNALLYS. THEY HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE SOUND QUITTING AND WITH THE POWER PLUGS ALSO. THEY RAND KNOW THIS AND HAVE DECIDED TO JUST KEEP SELLING THEM AND LET THE TRUCKERS WORRY ABOUT GETTING THEM FIXED. SOME PILOTS AND FLYING Js HAVE QUIT CARRYING THEM BECAUSE OF ALL THE RETURNS. THEY ARE JUNK AND THEY KNOW IT. BUY ANOTHER BRAND AND SAVE YOURSELF A LOT OF HEADACHES. DO NOT BY A 710 THEY ARE JUNK. I HAVE GONE THROUGH 7 OF THEM IN 4 MONTHS AND AM NOW HAVING PROBLEMS FINDING PLACES TO TRADE THEM IN BECAUSE TRUCKS STOPS WILL NOT CARRY THEM ONCE THEY RUN OUT OF STOCK. THE 710 IS JUNK. DO NOT BUY ONE. TAKE MY WORD FOR IT I KNOW.

Nothing replaces your map book. A GPS shopuld be used as a support device at best. Amazing how many drivers can not read a map. Not to mention all the info in the front of the truckers atlas.

The more I use my Cobra 7750, the more useful it becomes. Especially the state mileage it calculates all your miles in each state in a list. Makes it easy when your filling out your trip sheets.

    13'4" or 13'6"?

Not all maps are perfect and items sometimes falls off getting updated in the maps. Did you let them know of the issue?

My truck has low profile tires 22.5's so might hight is 13'4" the Garmin GPS is best used for when your in a car not a truck so theres no real reason to really let them know about it.....its just not truckers freindly and never was intended to be.
