Dont feel bad. I had PCMiler18 fall off the truck in front of me, glad I picked it up. Works great with full functions and no restrictions. I only wish it had GPS capability. I love it for the mileage pay and routing variances. No problems from me.

i have e-mailed the company that makes them asking about coops -truck stops ect
$400 is kind of pricey but if it works it would be worth that to me just to get rid of s&t ,at least while driveing, i would still use it for routing

Its called the CO Pilot Truck and it looks like its made by a company called PC Miller. The website says it has routing for low clearance, HAZMAT, Toll Road BYPASSING. And they do have the software for Canada for an extra charge.

The 2ed one was worst than the first. it locked up withen 1 hr of using it.
called the company and told them i wanted to return it. they said they would refund less shipping.they charged $15.00 for shipping. it cost $6.23 to send it back by fed-x ground. think i an going to bounce it off my credit card. IF YOU TRY ONE PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU USE A CREDIT CARD.

When I used to use it, it use to route me down restricted routes and also routes with low clearances. Hence, I wouldn't recommend trusting it. The fact of the matter is none of them can be trusted and none of them will ever be 100 percent. in addition, it was difficult to use, the routing was horrible and limited, and some features were downright jokes as they flat out didn't work. It didn't take me long to go back to Streets & Trips for a small fraction of he price, which is a better overall product and much more user friendly in my opinion.

I myself have loved it. You have to set it up for a few things and when you do encounter a low clearance or weight restriction its wise to note it on the map with the icons, then at a set interval that you choose itll ask to upload the changes you made to the developers so that the changes can be put into effect. True none will ever be 100% effective but I use the Co-Pilot along with my Garmin, and have YET to be sent anywhere I am not allowed. Where one would fail the other usually sees it so I can then check with my atlas and change accordingly. That is after I have noted in the mapping so itll be flagged for uploading to the developers. I may be one of the lucky ones, who knows; but overall I have to say im very impressed with the program. I like to enter my loads and see how it routes me, then ill add in my fuel stops to help fine tune the route. When I put in the average fuel prices plus a few cents to make sure i cover every state I can then plan accordingly. So for my2cents, I like the Co-Pilot and I also like the Garmin 330 I have.

The Garmin I have does not have weight or hazmat, but I have noticed it has truck restrictions and even then it missed a few but the other program has caught it pretty well. On the Garmin I have noticed that the major roads are red, truck routes orange and if you shouldnt be on it, then its a regular grey color, pretty standard with the atlas. nothing can ever beat the good old atlas, but then even it has a few missing things..
