When I unloaded the other day. They did not have room for me on the site so I had to leave. I had not sent my MT to get my next dispatch. I pulled over in a spot I could send it and got my next run. Where I was at I could not stay long plus I hate looking for a place to park because I might have to go a good ways in the wrong direction from my next load. I seen I was on a very tight window to pick up with a dead head of 140 miles. I did not have time to check the map so typed in the addy and the GPS put me at the door. I do not like not double checking it, but sometimes it is hard to find a good spot to get pulled over long enough to do it.

Will a magnetic gps work and stay mounted with all the bouncing of the truck? Where the best place to put the magnetic antenna?

If you don't have a good magnetic surface to stick it on you can try getting a piece of angled steel just big enough to fit the antenna, and secure it to mirror bracket.

I am interested in the co pilot program because supposedly it has routing for explosives and we haul that quite frequently. The problem I have with co pilot is that I don't want to have my lap top running all the time, I run team with my wife and these peterbilt 378's are kinda narrow to get around in as it is. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could run this program without a lap top?:biggrin_2555:

My copilot is mounted on the windshield. Not on a PC.

GPS unit is about the size of a fist. Mounts on the windshield. Has voice prompts.
