In this one, Swift had a GPS fail, but did awesome after getting pulled out. How many of us would say we backed up over a mile, on a dark rainy night?

I can remember with fondness my Sister (first person I ever taught to drive truck)
Telling me I was insane and she would never need to back up like that when I took her down an old unused road near my house just off old exit 35 from 81.

I remember with more fondness the phone call after she was driving for 15 years and she called to thank this crazzzy, stubborn A Hole for forcing her to do it.

It seems she got stuck on a back road and came upon an accident with power lines down as weather turned ugly and they couldn't get the road open till the next morning.
She ended up backing over 3/4 of a mile to the nearest place she could turn around.

I have backed up for 3 miles down a narrow, muddy lease road pulling (well…pushing) an RGN with a track hoe on it.

The part where Swift backed up and didn't hit anything - for over a mile, no less.

I've been in a lot of weird places with a Full Sleeper and a 53' Dry Van or Skateboard (especially in PA.) but NEVER in any State had to reverse more than a city block.

Far as getting stuck on a 2 lane, it would not have bothered me to WAIT to next day to depart as I maintained a decent Fuel Level, so I was never freaking about running out.
   ;)

I guess I misinterpreted that part. So if I don't ditch it and need a hook I suck. But after getting pulled out from trying to do a uturn by driving through soft ground and bury the truck if I can back up im awesome.

Guess I will continue to be boring and fly under the radar ;)
